I regularly wander the web watching non league fixtures, for little or no reason I'll stop for a looksee. Today it was Newcastle Town v Bootle, the Newcastle as in under Lyme (Stoke really).

What grabbed my attention was the bike track / velodrome, I had no idea this existed. Anyone ever attended, ridden their boneshaker around it?

Does it close on a match day because it gets too crowded?Like Coventry,Sunderland and Reading?

Venezia. Would love to visit. Wedged in among houses, docks, yachts and what looks like a theatre of some sort. Snug as a bug in a rug. An actual lagoon only metres away and the Adriatic in the distance.

I'm not sure I'd even look at the match.

I bet they don’t have a coracle like Shrewsbury used to have to collect the balls from the river.

I've always loved the idea of being able to watch football in a climate that meant you didn't need a roof on your stadium

Behind one end, there was a wall very close to the goal, so close that the East Stirling players would be hovering waiting to pounce on the inevitable underhit goal kicks.

Brechin City's Glebe Park, the marvellous ground which has a hedge running down one side.

They do have a Gondola though.

This one in Hungry is unlike any stadium I've seen before:

The leg room looks decent, but the real question is - what's the water pressure like in the toilets?

I think it's the oldest football stadium in Italy.

Good god, surely the winner? Raises many questions but, can you play the ball of the train and what is that bloke up to making gesticulating gestures? He'd want to be careful, I got nicked for that once.

Edit...just the 'gesturing' you filthy minded sods.

Ah sorry - second oldest behind Genoa. But that got redeveloped for Italia 90, so Venezia might be the oldest still in its original state?

And if you've never been to Venice, JUST GO! Nowhere else like it on Earth.

I've been. Unreal place. In my Top 3 Cities.

I'd love to go again, though I may need to rob a medium-sized bank first.

Cacran, who play in the Slovakian 6th division, have a fully operational train service running pitch side. Supporters view is often blocked by a train going past.
Sorry just seen earlier post. Blame the injections I'm having in my eye at moment.

I wonder if Station Controller Kim-Jung Nourry would allow a train timetable to be published or for cancellations and delays to be announced?
