Trouble at t'mill... on 23:17 - Jan 31 with 1640 views | gerry_us | Very true Wessex. But for the Grace of God (or could it be Robbie Cowling) it could have been us in a similar position. It also makes the Premier clubs recent spending on new players absolutely obscene. When, if ever again, will a "home grown" team win anything. I can't even pronounce 75% of the players in the Premier now.
Trouble at t'mill... on 09:31 - Feb 1 with 1587 views | RSCOSWORTH | It's never nice to see this happen at any football club as it's always the fans, staff and players that suffer. Southend are proper football club, just a badly run one, it would be definitely be a loss to us if they went. Obviously seeing them drop out the league gave us a bit of joy at the time, especially as it so easily could've been us, but ultimately it's better for both clubs when we're in the same division.

Agree 100% RS. No point in having local rivals if we can't play against them. In the meantime, it may be a long shot, but let's hope the U's get promoted so we play against the other lot over the River Stour. Up the U's.
