Who's going down this season? 16:01 - Oct 30 with 5250 views | felly1 | Forest getting thrashed again today makes me feel they're doomed. Bournemouth are sliding fast and I think they'll be going down too. For me the third team heading through the trapdoor is between us and Leeds.
Who's going down this season? on 16:20 - Oct 30 with 4491 views | PatfromPoole | Wolves aren’t great. Only scored 6 goals all season…. As I have said on another thread, the “goals scored” column is fairly telling. Leicester have scored loads, so they should be OK. Surprised Leeds won last night, but it may help us if it means they don’t sack their manager. January will be crucial.

I reckon Wolves will splash the cash in January. Probably end up signing the forward we will want. Difference will be they'll go over 30 million to get their man.

I am bored of it too. Apart from the odd game, I rarely go. It's all about the top clubs with money. The rest of us are purely surviving. It's cr@p.

I am certainly bored of the sterile football we play under Ralph and his pathetic playbook.

I bet Liverpool wish they had Newcastle's money so they could be a top club too.

Another good summer transfer window and I reckon Newcastle could be realistic title contenders next season.

Even with everyone fit, we will do well to avoid the drop. A lot depends on whether or not we get a striker in the January window that knows ...err... how to score. With our current powderpuff front line - we're doomed.

I'm bored of it too but would selfishly prefer it if my friends and family didn't lose their jobs, which they would if we went down

That’s the problem any striker that may have come here in the summer might not now fancy a relegation battle . Our failure to land a striker in the summer could ultimately cost us .

I think our best bet is probably to loan a striker (if possible) from one of the big clubs who isn't getting any game time. Who or from where I don't know. Maybe one of the bigger foreign clubs if not the Premier League?

What’s Guido Carillo up to nowadays? FWIW we need two strikers in January, not one.

13 appearances, 1 goal for Stoke. Will Smallbone is supplying the ammo. They’ve lost the last 3.
| We thought that we had the answers,
It was the questions we had wrong. |

To be fair to him, 19-year-olds from Premier League clubs struggle to score against League Two teams in the EFL Trophy so you wouldn't expect him to score many at Championship level at such a young age. One of our problems this season is that we've recruited a bunch of youngsters and expected them to play in the Premier League now, when they are nowhere near ready. Sekou Mara showed this week in the B team that he can score for fun when playing against players of the same age, and that is the level he should currently be playing at. The bookies also know who our current manager is and his record over a quite lengthy period.
Who's going down this season? on 15:01 - Nov 1 with 3296 views | saint901 | I would say Forest certainly. Wolves might also be in danger unless they can buy a striker and a few goals. Are Leicester too good to go down? Perhaps but they need to have a good spell post WC. B'muff the same. There's always a team that sits mid table for a while and then drops down the table in the last ten games. Assuming that's not us, might be Villa? Or perhaps Leeds or even Brentford. For now I'll go Forest, Wolves and Villa. Not a great season for the midlands - shame!

As things stand post Newcastle defeat absolutely not. I would say we are probably favourites for the drop, even in front of Forest.
