All 80s music sounds brilliant compared to music nowadays. I grew up in the 80s and i find the sounds from then is like a nice warm comfort blanket ..lol It kind of lost credibility because of the Stock Aitken and waterman music, Smashey and Nicey djs and kids TV appearances, Smash Hits magazine ,Anni Lennox and Phil Collins winning the Brit Awards every year..lol ..and there probably was a lot of garbage music that I can't recall. But actually you don't have to dig deep into the 80s music vaults to find some absolutely brilliant songs. I miss the 80s probably more than the 90s tbh. I guess for different reasons.

For me the 80s had to be brought to an end when SA&W felt music would be enhanced by Jason Donovan scooping up Kylie while singing that God awful 'Especially For You'.
They should all have been banned. Luckily Minogue's cute tush saved her reputation in the early 00s.

Next time you hear this song, listen to the lyrics in the 2nd/3rd verses. Bar fights, gun shots, murder ! Hardly the disco lovey dovey shit you’d imagine from the 1st verse !!
