i think i could be alone here, but i'm going for a 1-0 win.

brave or stupid, i reckon mr beale will do his homework, tighten up the defence, and we will nick it.

The ball that hit the bar got a deflection off of Dickie I think, fine margins

Unbelievable and one has to say a bit lucky to have got away with a draw. The club have left themselves very vulnerable when we have 3 or 4 players who are simply not good enough. Kakay is ok for back up but Nico and Shodipo really aren't, Nico especially. Still will enjoy a moment of history!

That'll teach me to have a minor row with the returning home wife when I should be watching the stream...

(Maybe she's some kind of talisman/woman?...)

What a comeback!

Great goal from Ilias who I thought was off form today.

Seny needs to play up front more.

Armstrong needs to come on earlier. Looks a real player already. Let's see more of him because I would not be surprised if he went for big money next year.

Some real fight for once. Hopefully that's a kick start to get some form together.

Who was the last keeper to score for us, if there was one? Can't ever recall a keeper goal.

Get Dieng up front on Tuesday !

But a bigger question is, .... why didn't Sunderland send their keeper up for that last corner ?

With Dieng able to catch it and now scoring for fun. Would you risk it?

Don’t know what the fuss is all about. 4 from 3 . Two very winnable games coming up.
Two decent full backs would help. Roberts Willock and JSC to come back!
We got away with that mind but if he it pisses off the ultimate shit houser in Alex Niell. Who cares . You Rsssss

See bringing on Armstrong changed the game.

Their defence looked genuinely terrified of him when he ran at them.

Well having watched the first half and then catching up on this board at half time I felt that I had been watching a different game and that we had not been overrun had two gilt edged chances and that Nico, Kakay and Shodipo weren’t playing like non-league players. Second half I thought we dominated and got what we deserved. And the best moment for me was when Armstrong absolutely roasted their full back for the corner that led to the goal. Dieng is now a QPR legend. Well done my team and considering we were without Willock and Amos we didn’t look to shabby.

Immediate reaction from me having watched the stream is that Johansen is no longer up to it. Chair was really poor until the last 10 minutes when he scored a worldy and set up the equaliser so fair play to him for never hiding.

Nico just isn't good enough. Poor bloke looks terrified. He's playing a couple of levels above his ability. Not really his fault but pretty poor that we've got ourselves in a position where he's starting games in the championship.

Dykes I'm not sure about. Seemed to do very little but very little in terms of service. He's quite handy in the box defending corners.

Armstrong terrified the Sunderland defence. He needs more minutes. Roberts looked good and I could see him linking up nicely with Willock.

If we could get Field, Amos, Chair, Roberts, Willock and Dykes all in the same starting 11, we'd be a match for anyone.

Just double checking have I Misunderstood and we are actually playing against Man City?!11

Judging from the reaction of our fan base to the two line ups we must be.

Half this Sunderland team played when they got turned over 6 nil by Bolton not long ago.

They’ve been on a good run since but they haven’t played many better teams then us even with our injury problems

Unbelievable result!! Turns out we were only playing Sunderland and we had enough quality commitment and a little dose of over due luck to get a good point

Let’s bring some positivity into Tuesday behind a squad that’s only getting stronger from here

Well done Mick Beale for taking the risks we needed to and well done Seny you ledge!!!!!!!!!

Giving some credit to Beale at this point, given a poor hand with the injuries, poor in first half, much better in second and makes the changes and alters the game. Armstrong getting more minutes and experience, without doing anything silly to make worse the knock he had earlier in the week.

Good outcome overall in the circumstances, hopefully have one or two more available next week to help take the pressure off.

Never knowingly understood

Very poor half.

Absolutely no sign of the high press, far too easy for Sunderland to keep the ball and get forward.

Must have given away the ball in our third four or five times, Hamalainen and Stef the culprits, and no control with the ball when we get it.

Having said that, their opener looks offside all day. Or at least what I think offside is anyway. Offside for the initial shot, not sure how he can't be interfering with play there, but that conversation wasn't had by the officials because the goal was given immediately.

I'd have Shodipo and Albert off now for Armstrong and Roberts, and the game may not be beyond us.
