Thomas Frank: Brentford boss wants Premier League and League Cup games called of on 11:35 - Dec 16 with 1674 views | 1ASIN12 | Talking a lot of sense, have a 10 or 14 day break then all teams hopefully will be at full strength as far as Covid goes. Too much money in football if a team got relegated as they had players missing or a team gets points to stay up as the opposition had 3 or 5 players missing due to covid.

Statistically, the likelihood is that less of them would catch it.

Thomas Frank: Brentford boss wants Premier League and League Cup games called of on 12:54 - Dec 16 with 1534 views | DorsetIan | I'd be surprised if games are cancelled across the board. This from Sky: What are the Premier League rules? The 2021/22 Premier League handbook includes Covid protocols, and states the Premier League's board will "only permit the rearrangement or postponement of a league match in exceptional circumstances". The board make calls on a case-by-case basis, and by way of guidance the Premier League says permission for a postponement will not be granted if a club have 14 or more players from their squad list available. Manchester United made a request to the Premier League to postpone their Brighton fixture after being forced to close first-team operations at their training ground on December 13. But Sky Sports News understands the Premier League turned down further requests from clubs for games to be postponed due to Covid cases during the week commencing December 13. Graham Potter has since revealed Brighton were unsuccessful in getting their trip to Wolves - a 1-0 defeat - postponed, while Leicester manager Brendan Rodgers expressed his "disappointment" at the Premier League's refusal to postpone his side's match with Tottenham on Thursday as the club deal with a Covid-19 outbreak. https://www.skysports.com/football/news/11095/12495400/covid-cancellations-in-fo

90 % of players have been double jabbed, so I read. They are still getting infected. The jabs stop serious illness and death, they don't stop people catching the virus. That's why the COVID passports are a waste of time as jabbed people can pass it on as much as a non jabbed person could. However, I voted on here to have a break from football because all these cancelled games will just build up. Loads of games will get suspended and fans need to make plans. Many fans will be too scared to go too, so grounds will be half empty in some cases. You can't keep calling off games at the last minute. And I bet there are a few players who sense having Christmas off for once! So many clubs and players will encourage a break, to get injured and ill players back. [Post edited 16 Dec 2021 13:52]

They need to ask Pep and Klopp what they want and take it from there. Let’s be honest, that’s what’s going to happen.

Thomas Frank: Brentford boss wants Premier League and League Cup games called of on 16:07 - Dec 16 with 1326 views | TimSaint | Frank is just a two faced tw@t, who has changed his tune in the last few days. He bemoaned the cancellation of the Brentford v Man United game this week, saying that they have a massive squad, can cover absentees and should fulfill the fixture - but now that 4 of his team have Covid, he suddenly wants games called off !!

Part of life is, you have the chance of getting ill and dying. Take your vaccine and get on with life as we were told. This dogshit is ruining lives. To the people who have relatives who’ve died or been Ill with covid I’m very sympathetic but peoples livelihoods are going down the shitter. This is no way to spend every year.

Agreed. Time to get on with our lives, manage our risks, if you’re vulnerable then stay at home, if your not get on with it.
