Frank (fingers) Fielding would be a better signing than Lynch.
wages pending though..

Be very surprised if he drops as far as L2 unless someone can offer him a huge wage.

The stand-out thing from the whole list is how many (to my mind realistic) players I would rather have over some of those we've just offered contracts to though.

Tangled up in blue.

Former player Matty Pearson has signed for Huddersfield after leaving Luton.
Not done too badly for himself after leaving Spotland.

Also Gary Dicker and Danny Whitehall have released from Kilmarnock. Whitehall could be an interesting back up striker, scored goals in the conference, didnt really get a chance here and at Killie by the looks off it

This is the One, I've waited for

Mr Barton isn’t letting the grass grow under his feet, having signed four players today for Bristol Rovers.
Two are from Fleetwood so perhaps he wasn’t as unpopular in the dressing room there as was claimed in certain quarters.

Are there any rumours of players signing new contracts or not at the Dale and about possible new signings coming out of the club or are I being cynical in suspecting that DB may be seeking to see what is left over and who is desperate for a contract, before signings are announced.

Think the press release was a couple of days later so they probably have until the Monday in reality.

Not really looking forward to it think a lot could move on.

From BBC Sport (rather bold to prepare for the Premiership with 5-year contracts for young players signed from relegated clubs in the lower leagues?):

Promoted Championship side Watford have signed centre-back Mattie Pollock from Grimsby Town on a five-year contract for an initial fee of £250,000.

The 19-year-old spent six years with Leeds before joining the Mariners in 2018 and played 58 times for the club.

Pollock made his senior debut for League Two Grimsby aged 17 and his deal at Blundell Park had a year remaining.

Watford, managed by Xisco Munoz, have already signed England Under-18 forward Kwadwo Baah from Rochdale this summer.

Worth a trial not necessarily sign him.

He was well thought of at the club and a fuss was made of him recieving the scholarship to the US. Since then he's done well at Maidenhead in the National League scoring better than 1 in 3 he's also 6ft 3 unlike his shorter dad.

Yes doesn't look like things have gone too well for him in Scotland but moving somewhere new in the middle of a pandemic can't have been easy. At 25 he should be looking to get himself into a first team. Would be a similar signing to Newby, Beesley, Shaunessey in that way.

It looks to me as though there area lot more players being released than last season with 15 or 16 clubs still to make their lists public. This might be an indication that many clubs didn't follow our lead last season and chop their squads then and are being forced to chop them ahead of this season A quick look at Macro's figures for last season gives just over 300 players released, I think we are up to over 450 already this season.
