An open bus will be touring the city centre tomorrow. There won't be anyone on it though because of Covid restrictions.

We've done the double on 14:29 - Jan 23 with 1300 views | dirk_doone | It's a bit of a coincidence but we'll be facing Wolves in 2 successive games too, and in the same order: FA Cup match followed by league game. Wolves have got 2 tough league games v Arsenal and Leicester before they face us, which could leave them looking over their shoulders at the relegation zone so they might rest players in the FA Cup game. They'll also be very lucky if they come out of the Leicester game without any injuries. As Ward-Prowse has just said in his post-match interview, our strong position in the league means we can really go for the FA Cup. He added, "We want to add to this club's history." It means we can prioritize the cup match while Wolves will have to concentrate on the league one. [Post edited 23 Jan 2021 14:40]

We don't seem to get easy cup draws. We get drawn a lot against the big clubs. Man United is the team we've been drawn against the most. In the 2017 League Cup, for example, we got Arsenal in the quarter-final, Liverpool in the semi-final and Man United in the final.

Not in recent memory but we beat the cup holders, Spurs, on our way to the 1902 FA Cup Final. [Post edited 23 Jan 2021 20:23]

The eternal shadow hanging over SFC is our crap record in cups Little things seem to happen when we have a chance of winning a trophy. The Arsenal hammering the week before 2003, Mark Wright’s injury in 86, a scabby Adrian Heath goal in 84, the odd goal loss in an even game to Forest in 79, Van Dijk being unavailable in 2017 when we should’ve won convincingly. Not saying we should’ve won all those matches because that’s football, but we should’ve won at least one of them. Maybe this year, in a season where we can’t all go and watch it, will be the time when luck swings our way. Or maybe I’m talking bollocks [Post edited 23 Jan 2021 22:54]

I’m convinced we’ll win it this year for that very reason ffs. Still rather win it and not be there than not though... just
