I'm still laughing that Dickie wouldnt be interested in leaving Oxford for us, pretty sure he might think differently, move up a division, higher profile more money (I imagine) and the chance to shine and maybe get promotion with us or a move to PL if he did well.

That ought to be crucial. The early links on this thread are all OUFC talking about how great it is that loads of clubs are after him. But here we are and there he still is, and no reports of a firm bid (unlike CPFC's rejected early bid for Eze). And apparently out of contract in 10 months.

In summary - very good with his feet, very intelligent and a leader. Apparently not too fast and therefore doesn’t suit a high line... is he suitable for warbs-ball in this case?

The leadership thing stands out for me, more important than pace in terms of what we're missing IMO.
But what I really liked hearing (since most of the talk is about his passing skills) was: strong in the air, won lots of physical battles in League 1 games
Oh, and "positional sense". Boy could we do with that.
