Ramkilder 13:37 - Jul 23 with 3747 views | Jogo | I didn't see the game last night. I know he was only on the pitch for about a half hour, what are the early thoughts?
Ramkilder on 13:39 - Jul 23 with 3714 views | Nov77 | He ran around a lot, eh, that’s about it so far.

Ramkilder on 13:40 - Jul 23 with 3717 views | Esox_Lucius | He looked better than Seb Polter did on his debut at Birmingham.

Ramkilder on 13:40 - Jul 23 with 3707 views | BazzaInTheLoft | He was isolated so difficult to judge. Seemed willing to me, but didn't get a sniff through no fault of his own. [Post edited 23 Jul 2020 13:42]

Ramkilder on 13:41 - Jul 23 with 3701 views | WrightUp5hit___ | He was brought in as a Development Squad player, and after a long lay off due to a nasty injury. Any realistic judgement on him comes a good way into the future
Ramkilder on 13:42 - Jul 23 with 3680 views | BrianMcCarthy | Good attitude, chased down a lot of their possession. Didn't really get on the ball unfortunately.

Ramkilder on 14:17 - Jul 23 with 3466 views | Myke | He was 'shocking' , 'worst 30 minutes in a QPR shirt'. I jest of course, lampooning some of the WBA fans comments on Twitter about Pereira. You would never think they had just been promoted and he had been hugely instrumental in that. Impossible to judge Ramkilder; ran around willingly, but understandably the game passed him by a little bit.
Ramkilder on 14:28 - Jul 23 with 3394 views | robith | I quite enjoyed him, but I wasn't sure if that was just the novelty of seeing an actual striker on the pitch
Ramkilder on 14:34 - Jul 23 with 3363 views | nix | He looked like he'd played football before which is a bonus compared to some of our debutants in the past. He got in a defensive tackle at one point and tried to get into some decent positions. I've got some optimism about him as he looks like he wants to work hard. And he's taller than 5 foot five which is a bonus in our team! | | | | Login to get fewer ads

I was quite excited too, but that's because I know he's actually a Russian spy/ Trapeze artist, and I have a thing about those.

'a Russian spy/ Trapeze artist' Sure that wasn't a different dream Brian? I thought he did enough and worked hard - no idea how clinical he would be in front of goal

As an actual English teacher (and it looks like we will be doing a lot more on-line going forward) I agree. It's interesting though that you say that. I believe it is a fairly recent phenomena (recent for me at any rate) for the English media at least, to take the trouble of pronouncing a player's name right, I assume its linked to the significant increase of foreign players over the past 20 years. Back in the day, Manchester United had an Irishman by the name of Kevin Moran at the heart of their defence. Now over here the emphasis is on the first syllable the 'Mo'. Kevin was already an established household name here before he went to England, as he had won and All Ireland Final with Dublin. So we were very surprised to hear him being referred to as Kevin moRAN when he played for United and Ireland and the pundits refused to change despite being asked to do so on many occasions . Thirty years later, Kevin De Bruyne had no such difficulties persuading all to place the emphasis on the 'ne' of his surname

Lol Forgotten about that one Brian. The recently departed Jack Charlton wasn't too hot on names either. He referred to Tony Cascarino as 'The ice cream man'
