Away Days on 22:13 - Jan 24 by hedgeend61 | Old Trafford has never had a 80000 capacity, record attendance 76962. 1984 Champions Liverpool averaged 71% of capacity, Man Utd 74%, Saints as you say 88% Little Pompey 36%, albeit a 5 figure average, smashing the 8500 average(23%)of 1982 |
The maximum capacities of all stadiums in the old days were always slightly bigger than the max ever crowd. 80k is not much bigger than the figure you have, Soton 88%, but short of a very easily attainable maximum capacity in a tiny stadium, or 18k in a 20.5k stadium, with their best ever team. Just for reference, Pompey have averaged 6,000 more fans than that in their entire top flight history Incredible apathy

Away Days on 14:11 - Jan 25 by this_charming_man | Just for reference in both clubs histories saints have totalled almost 3 million more fans than pompey at matches. 3 MILLION more despite Pompey having won more, having the self titled best fans in the world self titled biggest club and saints having a tiny stadium for most of our history Something about incredible apathy https://european-football-statistics.co.uk/attn/nav/attnengtot.htm [Post edited 25 Jan 2020 14:12]

Just for reference, in the old days some clubs listed their attendance as under the actual attendance for obvious reasons. If you don’t understand this, then you are off the spectrum. Just for reference, Pompey had their main end pulled down and left for 12 years ie the owner couldn’t ever afford to rebuild it, or couldn’t be bothered. If he was struggling to rebuild the stadium, he would find it handy to rake money off the gate. In fact he was even building the best basketball team in the country. If you don’t understand that some clubs have had dodgier owners than other, then you are off the spectrum. Pompey have had some of the worst owners in the league, which is when attendances would drop off. Fast forward a few years, and most clubs count season ticket holders not turning up as standard, and your club is one of the worst culprits. https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/45158878 Therefore, your figure means very little But despite all this, Pompey have averaged almost 3k a game more in the top flight. Incredible.

What was the protest at Fratton about today 130? I thought you lot liked your owners now so it can’t have been the reason why there were so many blue seats on show today.

Away Days on 20:31 - Jan 25 by this_charming_man | They liked Milan Mandarić too but his first 3 season they averaged 13k, 13k and 15k. Or he was lying about the attendances too? When they owned their own club they only averaged 12k, 15k, 15k and 16k. Were they protesting against themselves? 3 million, the small apathetic unsuccessful club up the road in a tiny stadium has been watched by 3 million more fans than their massive, far more successful rivals with the greatest fans In the world it’s f-coming hilarious. More porkies from Del Boy, so the first 4 season with Mandaric were 14, 13.5, 15, 19,000. It certainly looks like growth to me. And then the first 3 seasons after administration, with terrible players, and in L2 were 15.5, 15 and 16,500. It certainly looks like growth again. The we have Soton, who were the 3rd worse club for non attending season ticket holders at 4,246 per season in the BBC reference. At 19 seasons at 19 games per season, we have 1.6 million missing fans. So, throw in a few decades of Pompey undercounting attendances, and it seems like that Pompey have still been getting bigger crowds, despite being in lower leagues for most of the time Incredible, and baffling for the best run club in the south. The most expensive tickets in the country were at Fratton yesterday, and the trains weren't running onto the island from Havant.

Research via social media. Why don't you check them out? Then you can either disappear, or change the subject to something else.

Away Days on 16:09 - Jan 26 with 707 views | ericofarabia | I'm pretty sure the 10 quid tickets were for STH only, initially and then a few days for Members? Plenty of people paid 20 quid. Your source conveniently failed to show that ... how many other errors? I wonder how much your club would have fleeced the fans for if they had been drawn against decent side?

Yet more bullshit from you as always. Yesterday the tickets at St Mary's were more expensive than at the Old Girl. According to your stats, they were £24 at FP, but only a tenner at Saints. Well yesterday, they were actually £25 at Saints. They were only ever a tenner for ST holders and members for a limited time, then went up to £20 for a limited time and then went up to £25 on the day - so as you specifically said Pompey were the most expensive tickets in the country yesterday, yet again you are proved wrong !! Pricing 9am Wed 15 Jan to 3pm Fri 17 Jan Adults £10 Over 65/18-25 £10 Under 18 £5 3pm Fri 17 Jan to 9am Sat 25 Jan Adults £20 Over 65/18-25 £15 Under 18 £10 From 9am Sat 25 Jan Adults £25 Over 65/18-25 £20 Under 18 £15
