I'm telling you they're f*cking crazy. It's like they already know they're going down instantly they're grabbing this once in a lifetime opportunity using the TV money to improve their Championship squad rather than building a PL one.
They'll be slaughtered next season.

We went up playing a reasonably unique, for this country, brand of football. We had a system that was difficult to replicate and hard to counter, but the beauty of it was it worked with intelligent footballers, who weren’t necessarily as skilled, athletic etc as their peers, but could read the game very quickly. A lot of them probably wouldn’t have made it at the top level at other clubs.
You play a clogging, common Championship style that’s based on frustrating opponents and nicking goals on the counter or from set pieces. You will need to improve a lot more than we did in 2011. | | | |

Even Championship clubs are charging crazy money for mediocrity. James Maddison to Leicester for 22.5 m? Crazy sh!t.
Imo it's better to look into the foreign leagues for talents rather than relying on local overpriced talent that you could buy double the quality with the price you paid.
Justin Kluivert just went to Roma for 14 m for example. A player who's poised for really good things. You don't mean to tell me that signing Josh Murphy for 10 m is a better choice.
Last season..Watford signed Richarlison for 11 m..Now he's going to Everton for + 40 m. Josh Murphy will never fetch such fee if ever sold.

All in huge wages, some of which you will struggle to shift for a few or end up losing and paying half there wages anyway.
