In answer to your first point, moneys no object when it comes to the royal family. The NHS, housing, transport, education are constantly underfunded while that shower of unelected inbreds continue to live a life of luxury a million miles away from reality as the mass media continues to worship them.
Privatising would be a step in the right direction but it will never happen.

I'm not a royalist by any stretch, but I watched the ceremony. It was decent enough, and they seem like a nice couple. The choir singing Stand by Me were excellent, and it was nice to see a bit of variety.
That said, as soon as the ceremony was over, so was my interest. |  | | |
