Team travel by bus to Stoke because:

Anyone know what the practical/operational reasons are that chartered planes cannot use Fairwood? It seems daft that the team has to travel from Cardiff.

"A lot of those journeys for Saturday games are done on Friday afternoon, fighting through the traffic, and that all takes its toll on the players".

My f*cking heart bleeds for them, they want to try doing it every single day, before and after a days graft.

The pampered c*nts.

I want a mate like Flashberryjacks, who wears a Barnsley jersey with "Swans are my second team" on the back.

I’m quite surprised they travelled back from London after Wednesday night.

As opposed to staying in an overpriced hotel for 3 nights? Where would they train?

They went up to Chelsea on the train. First class mind.

The creatures outside looked from pig to man, and from man to pig, and from pig to man again; but already it was impossible to say which was which.

Many on here would love nothing more than a nice all expences paid buckshee weekend-break in a five star ***** luxury London hotel.

The players can kill two birds with one stone there and get a nice bit of sightseeing also. Worra a pampered bunch they are.

Indeed. I think I’m right in saying the Under 23s played Sunderland away on Sunday and Newcastle away on Wednesday and stayed up there.

Newcastle seems to have become my nephews favourite city, he goes to watch the Swans and always stays up there for the whole weekend.

He's visited the place and stayed over quite a few times now, its No1 stayover trip for him. It seems to be a vibrant city?

As a pilot (yes it’s true)

I can tell you that the runway is in very poor shape and wouldn’t handle a plane of the size required. That’s part of the reason Roy Thomas pulled operations from there.

They need to buy themselves a team Dakota. That’ll take off and land at Fairwood no problem.

Thought it was because fire service cover had been withdrawn therefore they can't use it?

Newcastle and Liverpool ,far and away, the best weekend trips.
Both are historic but have contemporary attractions

As Kingsley says runway in poor condition and simply not long enough for small aircraft of sufficient size.
Didn't MM purchase FA a couple of years back with a view to putting a hotel there and increasing the runway, so away team could utilise as well?

The runway is long enough and in reasonable repair so it is doable.

I saw fire crews training there last week.

I'm surprised the club hasn't approached Max to be a traffic consultant on the issues surrounding the busy roads.

Bet the club could afford to sort the runway out.....

"Where would they train?"

They don't seem to learn or bother training now, so why would it matter?
