Doubt he'd want to get the train to training! Plus he's made it clear he wants a move into the Premier League.

I was assuming SH would base himself in the Midlands and then be a 1 hour train ride for the times he wants to go see the Big City lights.

Hogan's head must be all over the place now. Will be a very interesting day with a few twists now I imagine, especially with Brentford playing Villa! Have Villa put the bid in just to unsettle Brentford ahead of the game? Have West Ham supposedly pulled out hoping Brentford will lower their price? Or will sod all happen! All will be revealed and resolved today!

HOGAN LATEST

Late last night we brought you the news that West Ham had pulled out of race to sign Brentford striker Scott Hogan.

Barring last minute change of heart, Slaven Bilic has decided he does not need Hogan at the moment.

Now we understand Aston Villa are favourites to sign the 24-year-old.

Mirror reporting this morning that Palace and WBA have joined WH in the chase - have a feeling this will finally happen today.

Aston Villa 4/7 to sign him before the deadline.

Will see if his 'will only leave Brentford for a Premier League club' is true!

In all fairness to hogan, if he moves to villa. They are a very big club. If they fall short of the play offs this year, Bruce will have them right up there next season, they'll be back in the premiership soon enough.

And if Brentford accept the offer, then it's not really him pushing for it.

I think the "only move to a PL club" line was to say he wouldn't push for a move to a Villa/Newcastle.

I think you're probably right there. Wether Hogan sees it that way is another story.

The timing from West Ham seems very suspicious. A story gets leaked last night that Villa have had a bid accepted, then West Ham say they aren't interested anymore. To leave it so late in the window and then issue that statement? Do they suspect Brentford of trying to bluff them into paying the £15 million and they in response are trying to double bluff Brentford into dropping their price? Agents will be involved too to confuse things even more!

According to SSN Brentford HAVE accepted the offer, as mentioned earlier up this thread. I think it's now very much up to Scott and/or his agent.

That's what I mean. They've accepted the offer so it's a suggestion they're happy for him to leave for that price.

As far as I can tell, Brentford haven't had to accept the offer because of Hogan.

XXXXXXXXXXXXXX in for Camps as a new thread?

I did notice a 22 post thread on the Mac boards praising him and how some of the Terriers were slotting him into their line-up.

Best game I've personally seen him play that!

Lots of bullshit written in Jan leading up to last night - it was said a couple of weeks ago that West Ham would pay 9 million rising up to 12 million but that Brentford weren't happy with that deal - yet that's the deal he ended up going for? Unless West Ham's add ons weren't realistic like winning the Prem or Champions league? I'm sure Hogan had his heart set on a move to the Prem but if he does well with Villa he will be a hero if he leads them back to the Prem.
