Any Northern Jacks? 18:04 - Sep 30 with 3664 viewsswanskid95

Been a year or 2 since i last posted about Jacks in my area, and surprisingly I've found 1 or 2 others in Swansea shirts in my little town, which is amazing considering i live in the middle of nowhere!

Any jacks based in or around Lincolnshire/Yorkshire area? Getting the train to home/away games every week alone is pretty boring when you nobody to speak to for 4+ hours.

You make a good point though. I'm sure there are many Jacks travelling to games who would like to kill the time by meeting up with fellow Jacks. Just an idea - why not integrate Tickets thread into Football Thread and create a Travelling Jacks thread where people can post what train they are on for example, which hotel they are staying at or which pub they are going to before or after game etc.

How the heck do you get from Gainsborough to Swansea on the train ? I can understand going to London as a JA member. I'll do the 3 hour each way trip for a couple of games each year but that's it (and even then it depends if we can get cheap tickets).

I don't make many home games, maybe 3-4 a season, but last season went to 16 away games.

Good effort, fair play. London - Swansea is hard enough

"Michu, Britton and Williams could have won 3-0 on their own. They wouldn't have required a keeper."

I live in Chorley and I try to get to 2 or 3 home games

It might be easier and cheaper for you to get to Manchester and I could pick you up and take you down and back

I'm going down for the watford game so pm if you fancy a lift

I lived in Sheffield until a couple of months ago, now living just outside Manchester, tend to go away more than home.

I take my hat off to you, that must be 5+ hours each way. Selfish I know but I was glad that Hull, Burnley and Middlesbrough came up this season.

I live just north of Manchester and manage to get to about half a dozen away games, along with another exile who lives near Burnley. It was a shame when local teams such as Wigan, Blackburn and Burnley were relegated. I have great admiration for any "northerners" who manage to get to home games, as it is quite a trek.
