Yeah but a bit of high profile TV exposure won't go amiss. Unlikely to be a coincidence.

Jack to a King the Swansea story on 09:22 - May 12 with 4055 views | BarrySwan | The biggest load of self indulgent crap ever produced, Pope, Dineen and whoever else was involved in the production of this should be ashamed of themselves. A real missed opportunity to make a classic along the lines of the New York Cosmos film. Jack to a king is of mild interest to Swans fans who will enjoy a few nostalgic clips but I'm sure that anyone who is not a Swans supporter would be baffled by the disjointed incomplete non time lined jumble of a film which didn't even include mention of half the managers or promotions etc. If ever a film needed a narrator and a clear timeline and explanation of the actual story of the rise of the Swans through the leagues this was it. Hang your head in shame Mal Pope
Jack to a King the Swansea story on 09:44 - May 12 with 4027 views | dickythorpe | Things like this are great at the time BUT they date very quickly. Football is a week by week thing and we have had so much more ups and downs since this film. And of course people jump on the bandwagon of success, I'm sure I heard from friends of Mal Pope say he never showed any interest in the Swans up until a few years back. That can go for a lot lof people not just him!!

Do you really think Mal Pope is the biggest villain in this? He did what he was paid to do, no doubt handsomely, and told a story he was told to tell. You're shooting the messenger instead of the people who wrote the message.

HIs only defence could be I didn't know the story because I haven't been a swans fan very long, but of course he can't say that because he tells everyone he is. As complicit as anyone else involved. Glory seeking self publicist. Doesn't require defending.

I'm not sure about that but he definitely seems to be Radio Wales' token Jack. A kind of sanitized user friendly one.

Jack to a King the Swansea story on 10:13 - May 12 with 3932 views | acejack3065 | I don't care tbh. Every time I've watched it I've got pretty emotional and I feel immensely proud of the story the football club has to tell, even if some of the facts were "bent".

Jack to a King the Swansea story on 10:42 - May 12 with 3881 views | Zut_Alors | Aside from the PR spin much of this clearly is, for the filmmakers a 10 year story is quite a challenge. There's always going to be stories not told. On a editorial level, the biggest mistake they made, though, was not anchoring it in one particular moment. Take the Class of 92 film as an example and you see the success they achieved was by using that one 99 treble season as the hook. Jack To A King meanders around and has too many voices telling us the same info. You can imagine the meeting that took place, all the directors would have wanted screentime, when they could have done with 1 or 2. Having to accommodate them probably meant many others got overlooked.

Jack to a King the Swansea story on 10:58 - May 12 with 3859 views | OxOsp | It seems to be only on BBC2 Wales. In England we will be watching "The Hollow Crown" at that time on BBC2. So, we get Benedict Cumberbatch. You get Leigh Dineen.
