??? are we progressing? are we showing signs of building? consolidating or improving? we were told signings were hand picked, like gladwin and llougo and for near £4m are a flop, washington we can't judge cos he hasn't had a shot on goal......smithies and hall look ok, but we lack a back 4, a formation and a belief...is les helping or hindering? i won't go down the much travelled ramsey debate, oh well sod it...he's coach again? ok are we improving? progressing no no and no! with limited funds next season, we have to hope many actually rally and liven up but i can't see it, mid table next season will be very good .....seems we are nearing the £200m debt mark and that's not counting the £60m written off!!! TF , what cha doing son!!? losing money...we over paid on too many, sandro prime case..paid big wages and can't off load em...swp cost somewhere over £20m with fees and wages and he hardly played...we turned down £11m from leicester but took £4m for austin months later?? the list is long and returns for that faith are near non existent....but it's not like we haven't been here before, "ch-ch-changes!" well nothing does. enjoy the sun everyone...
This post is so out of touch with literally everything that's happened in the last 3 or so months both on and off the pitch that i can only surmise that it was written at Christmas, and for some reason never posted and was stuck in drafts until just now when it actually posted...
Want to just ignore the first post, but can't. I came away from last night's game surprisingly upbeat about the progress since the first half of the season. Some poor defending granted, but in the summer, with 2 or 3 new additions and the final clearout of the excess baggage, I think we have a much brighter future and are finally heading in the right direction.
Great game, great atmosphere, a team (except Phillips) with desire and playing for each other, an outstanding goalkeeper, potential stars in Chery, Luongo, Washington etc., a club that is listening and starting to do things the right way.
You won't find any criticism of LF or JFH from me at the moment. Quite the opposite.
It's snowing here so I can't enjoy the sun. But I'll enjoy the fact that we're making considerable progress as a team and more importantly a club and I don't feel the need to jump off a bridge every time we don't win 15-0.
To answer your questions in order, on the basis that anything with a question mark is a question: 1. He's director of football 2. Yes 3. Yes 4. Yes, both 5. Helping 6. Yes, he is 7. Yes (again) 8. Probably enjoying a cocktail somewhere, as you would if you were a millionaire. But you seem surprised that we are in a lot of debt, I thought this was common knowledge. But he's written of a chunk of the debt, which is good news for us if not for him. 9. This isn't a question, despite the question mark

Hope this helps.
Cherish and enjoy life.... this ain't no dress rehearsal
That's right, what has Sir Les ever done for us? Other than the goals assists goals for other sides against the scum £6m those great memories playing for England, while with us keeping us in the premiership getting rid of harry and his signings sorting the youth team out being a respectable figure head of our club most successful at keeping bungle on a lead

Did I mention the roads?
He left us to go to Newcastle, which cost us our top flight place that we had held for 13 consecutive yrs , and consequently consigned us to 15 yrs of missing out on building our world wide profile and oodles of cash that could've set us up for ever!!

All correct from one perspective but keep in mind that, at the time, the club got the second highest fee ever paid for a player in England and we bought...
Ned Zelic Simon Osbourne Mark Hately
Keep in mind too that we had let Peacock go too, replacing him with, well, no one really (unless you count the eventual arrival of Zelic).
We then spunked money hither and yon on a variety of weirdos including George Kulscar, Richard Ord, Mark Perry, Karl Ready etc. When we did eventually hit upon the idea of Big Dan and Clarke (easily my favourite CB pairing of recent years), Clarke got an ACL and hit the bottle!
Can't all be Les's fault. Unless...
'What do we want? We don't know! When do we want it? Now!'
- Most of the overpaid/lack of effort/dead wood are out of the club - We are financially more sound - We have a solid young manager on a sensible contract - The team has been getting better throughout the season
Most of all, I am finally enjoying the games again. The past few seasons I found it difficult at times to root for some of the players out there. Porter may not have the best first touch but he works his socks off. Smithies looks great. Chery is a good signing, Most importantly, I feel like most of those players are extremley happy to be out there and give there all (ex-Phillips).

What he said. Long time since we played entertaining football. Going to Loftus Road had become like visiting your inlaws. A duty to be done as quickly as possible and fukc off home.
