Just heard they are both on 40k per week.
That's true about jones and we were very close as well to having him. He came on in the Stoke game where JDG scored two beauty's and it was like his last game before he joked us.

Why would we loan them out? Easy, money.
Take Jones. Loan fees, wages paid ( between 80 and 100 % depending which source is vaguely accurate ) and a bonus for getting promoted.
A nice sum given he's played what 41 minutes for them.
I'd imagine it's the same with Connolly.
Those players aren't going to feature much in the long term of the club. If we'd played Jones then either Mason or Doyle would have missed out; both need game time to show what they can do. Connolly was a backup with us anyway. | |
