The club will make a few quid, it's easy to get to and I think we have genuine hopes of a result if we play well ; they aren't the most frightening of Premiership opposition.

Icon? It's all Rio Ferdinand's fault.

I agree with Robbie. Chance to undo the festering wound of the infamous Premier league game at that venue.

Villa stumbling from one crisis to another. If Pool dig deep there's a reward to be had here.

At the same stage last season, as we travelled to Bolton I read a piece from Paul Lambert in which he said the Cup wasn't important and the League was all. I promptly put a fiver on Sheffield United to beat them at Villa Park at 7/1 and it came in.

Same again?

Yes, so long as we still have a team and the loanees' contracts are extended

We’ve got Simon Sadler

Or rather the Oystons will make a few quid, but I'll still be going as i want to support the team and forget about the leeches for 90 minutes.

Won't have a team by then, all the short term loanes will have expired.

If we do get beat, the consolation (hopefully) will be that the Watford game probably won't have to be re-arranged.

Wizz:
The Seasiders have been drawn to Villa so I'm sorry that won't be the same, no.

Clearly not watched Villa in a while; Benteke, Abonglahor, Weiman - Frighteningly quick and pacey side. 6-1 Villa.

Premier teams play on the 1st. Does that mean they'll change ours to a Sunday?

Yeah I think so.Villa have a 3pm ko on NYD but no game until a week later so it seems logical.

The saving grace is that the players might want a belated New Year off,so having the game on the Saturday benefits them.

Edit:Spuds v Chels is the tea time ko and Manure have the lunchtime one v Sterrrke

It's a terrible draw and another FA Cup exit straight away. We never seem to get drawn at home . As for making a few bob from it ...... well you've got to laugh , hysterically in a darkened room!

Benteke, Agbonlahor and Weimann were all there last year.

Watching from the stands.

I think for most fans it holds little - an expensive trip down the M6 after the financial excesses of Christmas, expensive tickets and a team which holds little appeal to watch having seen them countless times on MOTD - think it'll be the hope of an illegal stream for me!

Anyone reckon that KO asked for an away draw so he didn't face the risk of a home boycott!!

If we'd have drawn a decent team at home, do you really think there'd have been a boycott?

It's probably safe to say that with the way the cash is split that the O's will make more from the away draw than if it had been at Bloomfield Rd as the costs are minimal by comparison
