Strange choice - 5 goals, some crackers, in 27 starts. Bit overpriced and certainly the heart of a pea but talented and for me just another in a long line of mercurial wingers from whom you get brilliance and dross in equal measures.....Butler, Van Der Gun, Maylett, Goodfellow, McLeod, Gower (far better in CM), Lamah etc, etc.
I could think of a hundred more "deserving" of the accolade than Cotterill. Just for his goals against Leicester (FA Cup) and Newcastle he is in my good books. |  | | |

Bean was pretty decent. Hundreds ahead of him I'd say. Beattie was decent enough on the half a dozen occasions he was fit as well.
