I was level with Bednareks one and it was defo a yellow. Harwood Bellis was covering, I was more fuming with Beto for not staying on his feet and getting a shot away. It seems to be the modern way though to go down. |

But that is completely open to interpretation. It was a crap, unnecessary challenge from behind, it was aggressive but not dangerous. Again my opinion. |

Tarkowski’s was checked by VAR and was a yellow. It was a shit challenge but defo a yellow. The lines for the offside should be the easier thing to review and should be automated using the technology. Unfortunately it’s not so we have the clowns still involved. |

That’s a straight red for 14 teams in the league. They don’t even bother to hide their bias/cheating. |

Lookman wasn’t a flop, he did well under Koeman but then the football genius BFS came in and wanted to put him out on loan and was very critical of him, bullied him basically. Another stain on Everton’s recent history. |

DCL needs binning off. There was a real lack of effort from him yesterday. He’s out of contract in the summer so will probably be off in January. In his day, he can be great. He was excellent against Ipswich the other week. Since then he’s barely broke sweat. |

Sadly true, middle aged men, sitting in single seats, complete with wigs and moustaches. They left their houses looking like that. Bizarre. I see you’re the jinx then, you need to stay away from SMS more 😀. |

I thought he got the big decisions right in that neither Tarkovski or Bednarek were reds. Young could have been in trouble when he pushed the ball into Fernandes face but he made such a meal out of it. And I thought the Beto ‘goal’ was offside at the time. I’ve not seen it back yet though. But he got most other things wrong, constantly blowing up for every slight touch. This seemed to help Saints, to be fair, as you lot get caught so many times in possession. I think that was the most frustrating part of the afternoon for me. Any half decent team would have taken Saints to the cleaners yesterday. Everton aren’t a half decent team. |

Thought a draw would have been a fair result, both teams had a go but both lack quality. It will be a long season for both. Saints look a much better team when Dibling comes in. It was nice to be next to the passive folk in the Chapel as opposed to the Bell ends in the Itchen corner, although special mention to the two melts who dressed up as ‘scousers’ one with calm on his T-shirt the other with down on it. Saints fans around them looked embarrassed. Enjoy your evening . |

Haha, he was always good for a quote wasn’t he? My lasting memory from that game was the amount of Everton fans in the home end, myself include, and the rage when they scored. Saints fans going absolutely nuts screaming for the stewards to throw them out. We lasted until almost the final whistle because we kept our heads down and the Saints fans around us were dead sound. Leaving literally as the ref was about to blow up, exchanged good wishes with the Saints lads, only to be overheard by some loon who started foaming at the mouth ordering us to be thrown out. Cue us getting abuse from an angry mob! |

I’ve been to most of the Everton games at SMS and only remember one nil nil, that was the one on a cold January Monday night. Nothing happened at all. There were two other games early doors at SMS that finished one nil. The first was a Saturday 5.30pm kick off that was a rarity at the time. The entire ground seemed to midjudge the kick off time and everyone was hammered. It was great. Everton won one nil. The following season was a game early in the season, it was awful and Saints won due to a late dodgy penalty. |

Only remember one nil nil and that was a freezing Monday night when Pochetino had just been appointed. There’s been a 4-1 drubbing just before Everton sounded the Big Sam Klaxon, an awful 3-0 with Eto playing centre mid and a Josh Simms inspired one nil in recent years that had this board comparing him to Ronaldo. I think when Everton are bad down here, they are really bad. |

I think you will get three points on Saturday. Everton’s away record is pretty poor, only beat Burnley and Ipswich in almost a full year. Also Evertons record at SMS isn’t great. |

FFS, I had a fiver on Martin at 13/2. He’s 5/4 now. |

There was an interview with him pre-match on five live that was quite strange, basically saying that he has no intention of changing his strategy and will stay with his plan regardless of results. |

Football free weekend, off to Amsterdam (the city, not the band). Got Aldershot v Eastleigh the following Saturday though as a nice distraction from the returning premier league fixtures. |

Aren’t they two separate things, albeit obviously linked. Either way, it’s going to bore the shite out of every decent football fan for the next few months. |
