Match thread....Boston United (away) New Era
at 18:41 10 Aug 2024

For the first time in about 4 to 5 years that was great to listen to as an exile (Boston is even further than Spotland).

Always found the commentators on the Dale feed honest about games and their summary at half time and at the end gave me some hope of a good season with decent football.

I know we'll lose games but at lest it sounded more entertaining than the last few years

It worked okay for me, better that the EFL ONE, although I did have to re-log in on a couple of occasions.

Absolutely over the moon over this new.

If he can be kept fit he is an asset above the National League.

His speed, power and presence in the team are a massive bonus

Fa Cup replays
at 06:17 19 Apr 2024

Another reason why I am slowly falling out of love with the beautiful game.

Replays are part of the beauty of the FA cup. It's a historic competition that is slowly being turned into a money earner for the bigger clubs.

Relays have been reduced to just one replay after the times when fourth round matches couldn't go ahead because of so many replays of third round matches.

I understand that was a good decision. However, to remove a potential income earner for smaller clubs and a banana skin for bigger clubs ruins the FA cup

vs Gateshead - match thread
at 20:54 24 Oct 2023

Watching online as an exile.

Gateshead have similar passing it around style to every Dale game I've been to this year.

They are quicker to ping it out to the wing but they are predictable.

So far we'll done Sale. Let them pass it around and waste their time

Pity only 20 billion is "ear marked for the North"

The other 16 billion is going onto transport problems in other parts of the country (tory seats down south)

Nantwich away for me.

It'd make my trip there a short one, so selfish. However, I could recommend several pubs in the town

I have noticed over the last few games how Cameron John has started to become a more confident player.

At Kidderminster he celebrated the equalizer as though he had scored a goal.

I the highlights he has run half the pitch to celebrate each goal.

McNulty seems to have unearthed something in him. Yes, he's not a world beater. But compared to last season he seems to be a major squad motivator

Varied opinion but to me Mitchell made run after run that were ignored for a sideways pass.

He did on several occasions take defenders with him to open up gaps that were avoided by sideways or backward passing.

Mitchell has some pace. We don't use it.

He's not a salmon but not bad in the air. No point as no one is near him.

To me some scapegoat him due to the poor judgements of midfield and defender forward passing choices
