Just like the Ipswich goal in the last minute...so we make the same stupid mistake AGAIN, and who's the coach? Overall a better performance because we moved the ball up the pitch QUICKER, but still lost the ball too many times at the back trying to be clever again....if we played like we did in the first 20 minutes we would have won easily. This game is a complete kick in the nuts. |

None of the team selections above will succeed if we continue to fook around in our own penalty area. Doing this has lead to almost all the goals we've conceded, so no matter how we change the team unless we change the tactics there will be only one result. |

The man is a legend full stop. He has his views that some don't agree with and many others do. It's called free speech, which we as a nation we have lost many sons defending. So go and do one you boring tw*t. |

| Forum Reply | Why RM teams concede so many goals at 13:50 7 Oct 2024
I don't think RM is able to change it, he doesn't know anything else. He's played his possession football at 3 clubs now and stuck with it, unfortunately it's ALL he knows, he's a one trick pony. All the clubs that play out from the back do it in the safest way possible and move it up the field quickly..... Not our Russ, keep it slow and pass it back again. |

Us not getting completely bollocked at Arsenal, and going 1 up, means RM has bought himself a bit of time, the board will ruminate for a while longer which is a mistake. If they haven't got somebody competent lined up yet, RM gets even more time. If we don't beat Leicester they've got to act. |

The point is though, he's been painting himself as whiter than white, the un-tarnished respectable politician, while all the time he's been pocketing £100k's worth of wonga while at the same time cutting some poor old pensioner's £300 winter fuel allowance. Not a good look huh! |

So we put a 6'7" striker on and how many high balls do we get into him? |
| Forum Reply | Result Today? at 14:01 5 Oct 2024
I see he's put KWP back in the team, presumably left back, so where is Manning going to play? |

I agree that nobody has stood out, but Diaz hasn't been tried in the centre and he can mix it up and be a handful...it might create space for the others to take a shot even if he can't. If that didn't work I'd sub him with Archer and bring Tall Paul in for the last 20 minutes and bombard their penalty area with high balls. It won't happen of course, it's not the Russ way. |

Agreed. Those 3 supposedly winnable games would be needed for a new manager to win. RM has used up his winnable games already. You'd think/hope SR would have 3 or 4 talented coaches who have proved themselves in Europe lined up, eg. another Poch or Koeman, but they're track record in appointing managers has been dismal to date. Potter or Moyes would give us a chance. |

Man U won't want Potter, they'll be looking further up the food chain as he bombed at rivals Chelsea. Fergie has already endorsed Massimiliano Allegri. |
| Forum Reply | Southampton At Bournemouth The Verdict at 16:23 1 Oct 2024
My brother was staying at the Hilton in Bournemouth yesterday, and to his surprise the Saints team were there sitting about in the lounges playing cards at 3pm! Why would they they not just get the coach down straight to the stadium before the game? So they were all fanying around for hours in Central Bournemouth doing what? All I can suggest is that this was some daft way of helping them to de-stress or chill out before the battle ahead. Ultimately they played the game at a slower pace than Bournemouth and we're half a yard too slow to every ball. So is this another example of the RM philosophy in new wave football? |
