there isn't a material for a statue tough enough to do him justice!
and there certainly isn't another player tough enough to do him justice either; so I'm torn.
Or a bust in the foyer as a constant reminder to everyone else what a proper servant to the club looked like and what he stood for.
fukin hell; i'm feeling very emotional over this.
Remember having a pint with him in the Red Lion in Hillingdon.; even though he was only 4 years older than me I was like an excited schoolchild.

I was thinking that when we move to a new stadium the club should erect a dozen or so statues around the ground to honour the genuine legends of Queen's Park Rangers Football Club. The word gets used all the time now but the truth is that only a select group deserve that accolade, and Macca is certainly one of them.
In the mean time the club definitely needs to organise something for him and his family. Obviously, I don't know their financial situation but you can't imagine he'd have earned enough to set them up. Maybe a pre-season game against Glentoran or a Northern Ireland XI? |  | | |
