I thought he should be given more time but recent performances, more than the results, have convinced me that change is desirable and inevitable. He has had the opportunity and not shown that he is the man to turn it around.
The worry is that any successor will not improve things. Others have alluded to the belief that the cause of our problems on the pitch stem from poor decisions taken by those at the top. This is depressing. |

I disagree. It was disappointing but my expectations and sense of entitlement are not great.
We’re struggling but trying hard to get established and settled.
It was a good performance imo. |

Our inability to finish teams off has cost us again.
I thought the defence and the starting midfield played well.
Dibling looks classy.
Substitutions didn’t work.
Disappointed, two points dropped. |

I’ve always firmly believed that good coaches improve players by creating good team organisation and spirit. I remember Clough and Taylor’s work at Derby and Nottingham Forest.
Yes I know times have changed , but the rules are still the same, more or less.
I can’t see that our coaching and management ,at this time, are up to it, at this level.
I always remember Saints as being a very astute football club in transfer dealings, we very rarely signed duds. Nowadays it seems we rarely get value for money but seem to sign players who fail or who never get the opportunity to prove their worth. Recruitment has been poor and youth development stifled. |

All over the pitch, yes….except where and when his towering presence is most needed.
Who was playing their right sided attacker onside for their third?
Shocking defensive organisation. Where was the skipper? Oh yeah..in the dressing room!
The penalty miss was appalling and we never looked like troubling them.
Is it Ipswich up next? Interesting times. |
