Note that the Essex scorer was with England for third test against WIndies . Did you venture to Gloucester to score for Essex in the 50 over game on the Sunday ?
The usual PR day for the club, trying to rally some support from young and old alike. Also release of another new kit, they become synonymous with a particular time , so recent ones give not to pleasant memories. Let’s hope the new one will be remembered for a more positive and successful next couple of seasons . Strange apart from one match kit the other season, the fans never seem to be consulted for their preferences, or am I wrong ? Anyway any preferences anyone ?
Yep, common sense does not prevail in this instance, but however an update of the rules must be precise, otherwise ultimately clubs will take advantage of the situation for their own benefit in games.
There is one instance were a player can be replaced like for like, and that of international call up. Paul Collingwood played against Essex for Durham several years ago, got a century and was called in to the England side in which a replacement was allowed.
Enjoy the day Noah, let’s hope the Essex boys do well. Although a member, Meteor way unavailable, changed to a day/ night fixture, main gate towards city centre closed and the bag police will probably be in attendance for unattended bad week. ECB have made this fixture, better to avoid rather than attend .
