I had thought that when Drakeford stood down as FM that was him done with politics. Just what the bloody hell did we do to deserve having him back? He was a dreadful health minister, a dreadful FM and now he's finance minister... |

Germany's GDP last year was -0.1%, Italy's was expected to be 0.7 with the Uk in at 1%...predicted all. They always revise the figures 6 months on because predictions are always dodgy. You can never believe the first figures they trot out. |

To lower the tone, apart from Posh who I would kick out of bed, they were all ok, they all had something about them. Though back then Geri would be a distant 4th on the rankings. Scary, baby, sporty, Ginger, in that order with posh being sent to the Oubliette. |

Well maybe because the people who own the media are just as involved in the shady dealings as the politicians. Murdoch and Tony Blair were great friends. Bojo was a journo and Gideon left to be an editor. They're all linked. |
| Forum Reply | If you were in charge of football at 20:08 22 Jan 2025
Oh there's a lot I'd do and I 100% agree with the wage cap. I'd make yellow cards appealable, I think it's silly that a build up of yellows gets you banned when they can every bit as much a bad decision as a red. I'd return the cup competitioins to knock out only and I wouldn't end international football but it would be scaled back, fewer games as it was 40 years back. I have often wondered about changing the points sytem and maybe say a home defeat is -1, a draw is still one but a win is 2 points with away games being 2 points the draw and 3 points the win and then dump goal difference for purely goals scored and if tied then count the difference. I'd also dump promotion play offs, finish in the top 3 and you go up, bottom 3 you go down. |

A wise man speaks because he has something to say, a fool speaks because he can.... For my money, anybody working at a football club in Gude's role, which is... His role will focus on organisational structure and management at the club across a range of departments, helping to shape and build a high-performance culture, as well as supporting chairman Andy Coleman in delivering on his vision for Swansea City. ...should always be doing something involved with football. This high performance culture, we're not seeing very much sign of it are we. |
| Forum Reply | Why isn't Kyrell Wilson on the bench? at 17:24 22 Jan 2025
The point would kind of be that he shouldn't have played the day before because he should be getting a crack at the seniors. It's almost as if Williams is determined to not develop any younger players. Or maybe Williams is just totally cluelesss? |

It' kind of a double edged sword though, isn't it. When the team are playing well and winning then people want to go. On the other side of that, when the team are boring and not winning then people don't want to go. You can see the logic in that surely? Kids have school next day, people are up early for work. Then there's tv and of course the Champions league was on live last night. For those who are not committed fans there were reasons to NOT go. By the way, I don't consider myself a committed fan anymore and have only been going because my son wants to. Maybe in there is something you don't take into account, a lot of people have lost interst in pro football. For the WBA game my son chose to play rather than go to the Swansea.com and I chose to go watch him. Sometimes it feels as if people think we have a divine right to good crowds, we're Swansea not Liverpool or Man City. A lot of people who had been going these last 10-12 years only started because we made the EPl and have drifted away since relegation. One last thought, maybe if we weren't winning so much but the football was actually fun to watch and we had a proper go, maybe then the crowds wouldn't have dropped so much? Hold up, another thought, when the chairman promises signings because they have been worked on and are ready to go but then, nothing, maybe people have had enough of being taken for mugs? |

If the fan are to get back behind the team then everybody from Voleman down to the subs bench needs to out a lot more effort in. There's a cost of living crisis, football doesn't come first if yoy have a famiky and mortgage and it definitely doesn't come first after several years of the previous owners taking the piss out of the fans. Coleman has some hard miles in front of him and he needs to be decisive. For my moeny Williams needs to go, today. Then he needs to put someone in temporary charge AND get some new players in. When he says only players who definitely improve the team will come in, at the moment Tommy Hutch and Curt would improve us! |

I've heard there's going to be a massive catapult on the new runways to help the "elastiplanes" get off the ground. Also, TATA have decided to tun Port Talbot over to the production of the extra giant Virgin rubber bands. Good to see the steelworks bouncing back. |

Classic car owners...where have you been, they're after petrol cars everywhere. Well except in the USa where the Donald has promised to drill baby drill and left the Paris accord, he's happy to have petrol gizzlers running around. |

Aww, can the poor Donald and his supporters not stand a bit of criticism, the poor dear! Well in that case I shall carry on, when the lunatic pardons convicted criminals like the inventor of the dark web and the around 1600 rioters, when he tells Russia hey guys, if Europe doesn't do as I say then feel free... A;; I can say is the bloke is barking and politics USA style is absurd. I'm using that word a lot lately! Also absurd is a Brit who "lives" in Australia bein a massive donald fan and complaining about Biden's pardons when Trumps are plainly at least as mad. Tho one sensible woman did refuse the pardon on the basis that she was guilty as sin and nobody who treated law and order in the USA like that should get a pardon. All of the above was typed in a casual, non shouty or screamy way, no tempers were raised, no anger was felt. Ib fact it is almost funny that the OP posted this. |
