In terms of pedigree and experience, especially at a higher level, this could be the best signing of the summer so far. We certainly aren't going to have the youngest team in the division next season. I reckon there's still one or two permanent deals to be done and a couple of loan signings.
Tottenham have a 19 year old forward, Jamie Donley, who grew up in Colchester and scored two goals at the WHCS for Tottenham U21's last season. Maybe he could be tempted into a season long loan back in his home town (city)? |

The trenches that were dug to fit the drains look very prominent at the moment. It's difficult to tell whether they are at a lower level than the rest of the pitch but visually they don't look great. In fact the whole picth looks less than impressive with bald patches outside the playing surface and the pitch looking grassy in some places and a bit bare in others. Will be interesting to see how it looks and holds up on Saturday. |

I saw someone posted previously about the mass exodus at Crawley. I read today that eight of their starting XI from the Play Off final at Wembley have left! |

Most of those players came from higher division clubs to begin with but according to a number of fans were "terrible signings" and "rubbish players" and that the club lacked ambition. Three managers in one season, for the second consecutive season, tells it's own story. Injuries to key players and a squad so short of confidence and belief it's untrue. The regular battering by their own fans probably didn't help matters either. |

McGeehan's departure confirmed. Disappointing but not a surprise. Can see him at a League One club next season, will be a bit annoyed if he ends up in League Two. |

We've now sold five players in the last 12 months. Firstly I think that's pretty impressive for any club and secondly we've done that off the back of four consecutive relegation battles! Crazy! |
