Brighton 0 - Everton 7 I wasn’t far off! Anyone else had a similar experience? |

Superb, if there was ever an advert for why people choose to drive, this is it! Could the "that could be anywhere from Liverpool to Rome" have been shoehorned into the Hull section maybe? ;) |

Guys, please can we not do this. Clive has already asked yet it's carrying on. Totally get the temptation but try and refrain. |

Bring your noise-cancelling headphones to block out the high pitched shrilling. |

I saw him in a pre-season game at Wycombe just after he signed and his legs had clearly gone. Was just a Marketing signing, offered nothing footballing-wise. |

I'd imagine every club (certainly those that have predominantly been in the top two divisons) has at some point passed on players who went on to greater things. For us, John Barnes is another one. |

I was a naive youngster and was there too, it was somewhat lively! Though, as said before, because I went on my motorbike and wearing motorbike jackets & boots it made me pretty much invisible. Though if I had got caught up in anything I was pretty well armoured! |

"The Celtic fans were loud, their choice of songs was vile though." No, that can't be true. They're the salt of the earth don't you know. (and for clarity, I don't think Rangers are any better either, they're both poisonous bigots). |

Probably safer from a plane crash than where we are now. [Post edited 30 Jan 11:04]

Could we possibly, maybe keep this on topic? Just to avoid going down any rabbit holes? |

“I have great memories of Korean legend Ji-sung Park who used to play here.” That’s good ‘cos I don’t! |

That's exactly the plan... to build over the M25! It'll be north of the airport so won't affect the reservoirs. [Post edited 29 Jan 16:59]

They'll just say they were employees, not their responsibility how the club operated. [Post edited 29 Jan 15:27]

Boris was infamous for his u-turns too. They all do it, left or right. Can't stand the lot of them. |

"Pollution won't be a problem" we're told "Planes are more fuel efficient and cleaner" Yeah, but the increase in vehicle traffic around Heathrow will be a problem and the M4/M25 junction is a nightmare as it is. |

Yeah, good luck getting that back. |

Football is a different beast, it's almost as though mild aggression is expected/accepted. I took my kids to a game last season and sat in the lower loft family section and had to ask this bloke next to me to stop swearing. His stock answer was "well, what do you expect at a football match?" I replied back with "anywhere else in the ground I'd say 'fair game' and probably not say anything but we are in a designated family area'. To which he just humpffed. At the recent Watford home game we sat in the lower school end right behind the goal and my, just turned 7 years old, daughter kept loudly calling out at the Watford goalie "banana man!". A hoolie in the making....... [Post edited 28 Jan 17:31]

Each time I've been (old & new Den) I've always gone by motorbike. Parked nearby without any problem and walking down the road in motorbike jacket & boots and you're pretty much invisible to the flat-cap brigade scanning for targets. Same thing at Chelsea when we lost 1-0 in the Cup to an own-goal that came back off the crossbar and off Lee Camp. Walking back to my bike just off the Fulham Road and about 15 "chels" looking for QPR fans. Ran right past me as though I wasn't there. Phew. [Post edited 28 Jan 14:47]
