🏴󠁧󠁢󠁷󠁬󠁳󠁿 Wales v Türkiye 🇹🇷 : Nations League 1/6
at 21:36 7 Sep 2024

It's certainly not dead when there's a tv channel showing an international senior football match in that language! What a dull comment.

I don't speak Cymraeg but I don't see why you need a football match with English commentary. Just watch the damn thing! Or better still buy a ticket and go to the game.

I watched Saudi v Argentina in Qatar with blaring Arabic commentary!

Football is a language we all understand!

Because S4C hold the Welsh language rights to the games, not English.

The English ones are held by viaplay, which is now part of Premier Sports in the UK.

For some reason viaplay/Premier Sports are not showing any nations league games this window, that's why Scotland and NI are being shown on itv.

50s gates were up everywhere compared to now, other than the top prem teams.

No games on TV back then so couldn't support Man U.

Plus people have other options on how to spend their leisure time which they couldn't do 70 years ago.

Don't think 9.5k, 50% of available home tickets, is bad in these cost of living times for a 14th placed finish Championship team.

League cup Tues attendances
at 19:44 14 Aug 2024

6,923 we had same round last year v Northampton which was after our first home league game too, league cup attendances for the first few rounds are always poor.

We had 9,025 v Barnsley in 12-13 R2 when we were in the Prem. Wonder who won it that season

Bristol Rovers sold out their allocation. Presumably they couldn't take any more due to police having to do both Cardiff and Swansea.

I know I am not a selfish person. Just saying it is not all doom and gloom.

So when do you want the games?

- All Saturday 3pm with nothing on TV so we don't get any coverage like in the 60s
- All Saturday 3pm on TV leading to the non league clubs suffering from falling attendances, clubhouses going under and the clubs die, making communities isolated.

Do you prefer 1230 Saturday for Cardiff & Bristol City as last season or the new 1500 Sunday we have for both this season?

I don't mind either one to be honest, but Bristol City being 1500 Sunday has allowed me to go to an event on the Saturday I'd otherwise miss.

I can do the exact same routine on a Sunday 3pm as I can for Saturday 3pm. No doubt those who play football early on a Saturday or Sunday are happy too.

We have had one game so far changed from 3pm, first 11 out of 13 home games are at 3pm!! And one of the other two is a midweek game!!! It's actually the 13th game which is 1230 Saturday v WBA in January.

Sunday 3pm whats the difference with Saturday 3pm? Most people will be able to do their same routine just 24 hours later. I'd say it's better than 1230 Saturday for a lot of people.

Okay we have 4 Sundays not Saturdays, one is 29th December which was always scheduled, but the other 3 are Cardiff, Bristol and Leeds. Two of those games we expected to be moved and the third is a not a surprise.

Welsh Labour Government should be ashamed
at 09:33 4 Sep 2020

The issue is though if people don't vote Labour, vote Plaid etc, but Tories votes remain the same and then more tory seats arise and then we get a Tory Welsh government.

I think without Vorm we would've struggled to stay up that first season, he was unreal.

McBurnie didn't go to the end of July did he? The transfer window shut early August. Doubt any other PL clubs were interested.

Sheff Utd didn't have to offer much to get him to sign, more than double what he was on here and close to home (he may actually live with his parents looking at the address the BBC gave, doesn't seem somewhere a 24 year old PL footballer would live).

Apparently they can only show a team a maximum of 6 times through this 9 game mini season.

Leeds cannot get promoted on Sunday so our game won't be on Sky so that they can definitely be there for when/if they do!
