| Your Report | Oldham Athletic v Salford City Your Report added at 00:27:50 Saints did a professional job, showing lots of promise and keeping Vitesse at bay. The team missed Morgan and Toby, in a glaring way, given their role in the spine of the team. Yoshida was himself, meaning good with a couple of poor decisions and beaten for pace when turned. Clasie lost almost all his 121's and 50-50's. This wasn't so important when he pushed beyond the awesome Victor, but he didn't show for the ball as post overly as Morgan used to. Mane was unplayable at times until he tired, and how brilliant to have Shane Long to come on. We weren't at last years level, but plenty to be pleased about. |
| Your Report | Oldham Athletic v Salford City Your Report added at 23:53:09 A poor attacking display where the Baggies were man for man better at the back than we were upfront. However that. Didn't stop Saints having plenty of possession and playing descent footy. The real problem lay at the back with individual errors giving West Brom plenty of encouragement. Fox was at fault for the second goal and passive repeatedly. He doesn't stop the cross, cut out the pass or force his man backward. Lallana wasn't short of effort but was over powered. Ramirez looked off the pace and generally we looked smaller and slower across the park. A return to 4-5-1 is needed along with throwing Shaw in at the deep end. Maybe in Jan we can sell one of our numerous expensive centre forwards and bring in an international centre half. |
