Well, he did get 4 goals last season, as opposed to Adam Armstrong who got 2. I would be very happy to get Bednarek, Tella, and Stephens back. Stephens would step up I feel sure, remember him and Yoshida after we lost Fonte and Van Dijk.... ok, I'm just hoping, clutching at straws because it isn't looking too good at the moment, but I don't need to tell any of you that.

As ever, I really want to believe but, like others here, am really concerned that we have not signed anyone with Premier league experience. Ben Mee... maybe, maybe not, but some one to fit into the centre of defence that knows the league... and obviously a striker, just not a kid who is going to blast it wide most of the season.
AND I don't know what the thinking is re. Smallbone, he seemed to be coming back from injury, etc, in a positive way, can someone please enlighten me, seriously, some of you have seen all the recent matches!

Saints Release 2022/23 Away Kit

I quite like this shirt, it is bold, it has a nice Japanese graphic style, it reminds me of Hokusai's 'The Great Wave', the colours are nice..... BUT it has NOTHING to do with our club, nothing to do with St.Mary's, nothing to do with our history. Fine as a training top, maybe, just about, but this is not our away strip.
I also prefer a match day shirt that has a collar, the round neck, again, just looks like a training top.

Jan Bednarek Set To leave Southampton

I saw him walking through a quiet part of Winchester recently, he looked knackered.... he was pushing a baby in a buggy, maybe some connection!?
