Obadeyi has got plenty of pace and power, but has never looked like he's got an idea how to use it. If he's improved during his short spell in Portugal then he could be a decent player at this level. This whole "development squad" thing is amusing, it comes across as a group of bargain basement signings that Blackwell doesn't want to accept liability for if they don't make the first team!
Navas is clearly here as a babysitter for baby Jesus, but he's played at a reasonably competetive level in Spain. Could turn out to be a good signing if he gets time to commit to his part-time job of playing.

This development squad makes me chuckle. It's like they're trying to copy the Premier League model - except the development squads in the Premier League are made up of under 21s with no experience, who are playing in the reserve league and getting experience out on loan. Obadeyi turns 24 in a couple of months with a fair amount of experience at Bury's level. Both Rooney & Jackson turn 23 in December and again have a fair bit of experience in the FL(72). Players like Reindorf and McDermott probably expected to be getting first team football when they signed for Bury.
In my opinion, Blackwell has signed these players, realised they're not good enough, and then made up this 'development squad' nonsense to try and justify them. What a load of crap.
