I too agree with 1983, any issues with JVZ why dont you tell him. Anyone wishing to meet the man and have their say can do so thru a number of contacts he has, on twitter or on here. All he did was tweet a simple line that talked about rough house tactics.
This guy saved our club with others, and all you fu cking lot were significant by your absence when he did - the vast majority on here are too quick to criticise, and too slow to back it up - the other issue is half you cu nts wouldn't know or remember anything beyond 2008.

IMO, in terms of a cost/benefit to the club's image, twitter posts such as this aren't productive. If JDG was a bigger star, or even if Kuyt still played for Liverpool, this would have picked been picked up as a much bigger story. Of course, you could say that perhaps in that situation he wouldn't have made the post in the first place. Still, i think this is a perfect example of the negatives of giving social media platforms for people aren't as media savvy as, say, our chairman.
He's a character and more than likely a very nice guy, but perhaps a quiet word is due.
Not a big deal by any means but, in purely business terms, if the club are trying to create a positive global profile, tweets like this shouldn't happen.

Is that the same video from the dutch tv company that he brought over from holland with him ? He knew that the camera was on him all the time. He knew it was going to be on Dutch tv, so played up for it. He loves to see his face and name in the media and does anything to gain attention. Bit sad for a grown man. Just hope that they dont find out about his past history !!!

Danish media has an interview with JVZ today. Basically, he is saying the team has been strengthened and it should therefore improve it's final position in the League.

Football fever is raging in Swansea. Again. Last season's upscale ninth place in the league and the sensational cup title in the Capital One Cup has ambitions growing pains in the Welsh town before Michael Laudrup's crew tomorrow embark on Premier League against champions Manchester United.
A few good player trades - especially record purchase of striker Wilfried Bony - and a result-wise good season previews have turned the dreams of a great and historic Swansea season. It tells the club's director, John van Zwede, to BT.
- We have strengthened our team, our squad is better now, so we hope that we end up higher in the table than last year. But our club is a little unusual in that way, so in a sense we will still be more than happy if we are not relegated. But personally - and realistically - so I think our team is much stronger this year, and I also expect that we will end up higher than last season. So at least eighth place, says John van Zwede.
At the same time emphasizes the Swansea boss, the club also goes really tough for success in the Europa League, where Welsh meetings Romanian Petrolul Ploiesti in the playoff round, the final hurdle on the road to the group stage.
We need to get as far as possible in the Europa League. But it is to some extent determined by the draw. I believe that we must beat the Romanians. Frankly, we are a much better and much stronger team. Just Europa League represents perhaps the season's biggest challenge for Michael Laudrup and - in a European context inexperienced - Swansea. - There are several English clubs, who have not taken the Europa League seriously in recent seasons. But we will take it seriously. This participation in the Europa League is the culmination of the journey we've been on since we took over the club in 2002, he said.
- Michael Laudrup is an experienced man who knows how to handle this. Michael also told us that the Premier League is our primary goal, and the important thing is that we are not relegated, but he also says that we also have to play with the strongest team in the Europa League. It deserves our fans too. And quite frankly, we are moving not fall from the Premier League, says John van Zwede.
