Thanks to the swift and skilful actions of the medics on the scene at the time no doubt. One of those occasions when prompt action is essential It looks like he may be ok, thank goodness.

'Critically ill' and in ICU is the latest news.

Andrea Pirlo dedicated Juventus' 5-0 win tonight to Muamba. As shocking as these events are, they never fail to bring the community of football together, breaking down all barriers and rivalries and uniting is in what we are above anything else; human beings.

I maybe wrong.. but I'm sure the lad made his debut for Bolton against us in a pre-season friendly...

Muamba made his debut for Bolton against us.

Would love to hear his name rung out at Spotland, just as recognition. Doubt it'd happen but it would be a nice touch. As sad as the day was, it was overwhelming hearing both Spurs & Bolton fans chant his name...

Now speaking!!

in English and French.

Whilst not out of the woods by a long chalk it looks like he is getting stronger.

Long term prognosis has to be a worry but getting through the last few days shows the lads a fighter.

Get well soon Patrice.

No I can't see him playing again at that level after such a massive cardiac arrest.

Great news that the lad is making a good recovery.

However why should Boltons game on Saturday be in doubt I witnessed a colleague have a cardiac arrest but had to carry on working the same day and onwards, these footballers are so precious.

cant see him playing again ...who would insure him ?

Heard a cardio specialist who does the work for the PFA and FA screening footy players at 16 years old...any with a heart prob are told not to pursue a career in the game

For those old enough to remember the 1970s ,didnt Asa Hartford of man city have a hole in the heart prob which scuppered a move to liverpool ?
