Reason 1.

Teams used to just run out onto the pitch. No silly music, no fake handshakes. The current set-up is superficial and if John Terry is involved, more hassle than it's worth.

Proper music at half time and before the game, not that indie shite we have to listen to now, really pisses a lot of people off but we still have to listen to the same old crap every home game.

Nothing wrong with a firm handshake when a goal was scored, non of these silly dance routines like rocking a baby.

Beaten to the comment about Eddie Wainwright and his fags, but also remember the banter with a crap keeper we had called Bernard McCready and the all time classic of Louis Bimpson scoring with a diving header (against Southport?) and then grovelling around in the mud to find his false teeth!!!!

Eddie Wainwright scoring with a diving header, thereafter, continuing in his trajectory and heading the post full on. The inside left for York City who only had one arm.

In Bradford Park Avenue's last season in the football league (we hammered them 6-0 - our promotion year), their players were unbelievable bad, worse than park (no pun intended) standard

They had a free kick and as their lad ran up to take it, he swung and did a complete air shot, falling on his arse

When subs come on, no silly lit up board flashing number to come off, just proper printed numbers on bits of card / wood / paper...
