Because he has no interest in developing our youth. Indeed, given the damage he's doing to Abdulai's career, a decent case could be made for him deliberately doing the opposite.

Pain or damage don't end the world. Or despair, or f*cking beatings. The world ends when you're dead. Until then, you got more punishment in store. Stand it like a man... and give some back.

He also fears any bad results are going to end up with his P45 so he’s got to give it a good go. Wont happen with Christie and Naughton in the side mind you.

Kyrell Wilson could have had some decent experience in place of Abdulai for a start.

Either go for it and try to progress or bleed some youngsters into the team. The lineup we've gone for does neither and makes it all a bit pointless. Why are we giving a 37 year old a go in goal?

Absolutely bangs on about the Academy and does absolutely nothing to promote it. Absolutely get him gone whatever the result.

Have to agree, would have liked Nzingo and Wilson also on the bench.

Might be trying to highlight the lack of depth.

Those defending Peart-Harris saying he needs to play AM let's see how it goes. I would have preferred Lloyd or Abdulai there.

I don't think anyone is defending MPH by saying that he should be playing AM. I mostly do it by stating that he's not a winger, which he isn't.

Personally I'd see him as more of a Pratley type than a Paterson.

He has Lloyd and Abdullah involved so younger players are having chances.

I could argue that defensively one of the U21s should be involved but I would be naive to actually force it as Lissah is out injured as the others are nowhere near good enough.

He has made the call on Ginnelly so I am happy with that, we need minutes under his belt.

Possibly highlighting how short we are at centre half.

If Darling played today and picked up an injury there would be plenty demanding Williams' head on a plate for playing him.

Or he could already have a niggle and is not being risked.

I tend to agree.

Today he could have tried starting Abdullai with Franco, or even put Allen in there to start with. It rests Grimes and it gives us a chance to see what works without Grimes.

I'd rather have seen an U21 CB in there too, instead of either Christie or Naughton. Just to give them the chance.

He is simply not good enough whatever position you out him.
The same as lots of others.

Apparently Darling felt "tight" when he woke up this morning. Make if that what you will.

He’s got to go now. It’s not today, it’s not the WBA fiasco, it goes back further than that. I think he’s been given enough chances and enough time.

Maybe we should join the Cardiff protest next week and get a 2 for the price of 1 event😁

First, thought Soton were gentle on us
Us old buggers can recall much, the so called bad old days, but at least then players gave a feck even though they were crap.
Now,we see highly paid players wearing our shirt clearly not giving a monkeys with a coach who’s as disingenuous as they come.
I’ve pointed this out before
Anyone under Russ s wing is tainted . We were lucky to see RM go but then lumbered ourselves with another xxxxxxxx, one who uses stats as a means of getting a bigger job . He can pint to stats and then blame a lack of support from the club . It’s pretty obvious really.

Williams should have gone after WBA ,without any doubt.

He needs paying off immediately before he causes further damage

What we learned today is that McLaighlin cannot play again and we’ve sounded away money again on dross. We need a replacement loan keeper . There are plenty in the game looking for a club

Grimes has to have captaincy stripped and Allen given the band .

We also should look at ways of removing Grimes although he knows he’s on to a winner at our club .

We can sort things out rather quickly but it takes guts and guile and our new owners have to show they have the balls to do the obvious

I doubt we will beat Cardiff but that should ensure his exit . It’s not too late to turn this season around

Lastly, please fook off MPH ,a perfect example of the modern footballer

Poll: Christmas. Enjoyable or not

I'm there too. We need to be trying different things to see what works, who works with who...

MPH just doesn't work for us, send him back and leave Cullen at CAM. Give Abdullai a go in possibly his best position too, CDM

Why are we playing a CAm and a CDM on the wings, doesn't anyone wonder?

Why are we persisting with older players? Naughton 36, McLaughlin 37, why?

Why not rest a few guaranteed starters and give some kids a go, if baffles me. The only answers can be that LW is either clueless and/or too much of a coward to try new things. He's stuck in a "style" and cannot change, or is scared to.
