Nourry should walk. 23:30 - Nov 5 with 22034 views | connell10 | I'm calling this clown out , just who is he ? He seems like a kid playing fifa , I've never been convinced by him since he pitched up. Only at Rangers could someone come in to give advice as to who should be the next CEO to decide that they actually was the right person for the oob. Its a joke . I don't like him and I wish he would take his hight tech prattle and fock off! I'll probably get pelters for this but I'm just saying what I feel.

Nourry should walk. on 01:51 - Nov 6 by rbee | You mentioned that he has personal problems. Thanks for answering one of my questions. Even though he was there do we know how successful he was? How do last season’s injuries compare to this seasons? Still grey areas for me although you would like to think that his presence had some impact. [Post edited 6 Nov 1:54]

I absolutely never said at any point he had personal problems.

That is what you said Clive! I asked for major issues and you gave me those. Obviously all is not fine but people are guessing who is to blame for player recruitment. I do not believe any players were forced on Marti.

Nourry should walk. on 01:30 - Nov 6 by rbee | Apart from the transfer windows what else has he done that has had a major impact on the club during his short tenure? For me the transfer windows are the two major things which is why I talk about them. It's not so much reserving judgement as our hands being tied. To dismiss your CEO/DOF and Head of Recruitment on the back of one transfer window is a bit bonkers bearing in mind that the real issue for us has been the amount of injuries. |
£6m pounds spent. On absolute dross. This is not a case of oh we made a mistake. Learn and move on. It’s an absolute sh1t show this recruitment. There is no need to reserve judgement, the evidence is alarming and blindingly obvious.

And if that's our FFP headroom spent (which we're not allowed to know, obviously) And those players are on 3-4-5 year contracts (which we're not allowed to know, obviously) And they're really as bad as they look... Well, that's quite a 2-3 seasons we've got ahead of us now.

A couple of the players are coming good although I don't understand people's faith in Dembele. I am not reserving judgement on the last transfer window, it was poor. Minor improvements were needed not wholesale change. | | | | Login to get fewer ads

Quite. This is not a case “oh it’s only one window” as per Rbee, but a case of long term impact. Key decisions made in the window will impact the club in a major way in the coming years. Put simply, what Nourry needed to get right, he got wrong. And we will not only pay for that this season, but for seasons after. And after.

"A couple of the players are coming good" They should stop keeping that to themselves.

If the whole playing squad were available and not injured then few of our new recruits would be getting much game time.

Varane?! Tonight? I'm watching different games. Look I'll focus on conciliarity points so I agree that Saito looks alright. Ran about, challenged people, punched over his weight. Probably our star man with 4/5. Varane was embarrassing tonight. Embarrassing. Aiden Morris strolled about in their midfield tonight without anybody getting within 20 feet of him. Our centre backs were constantly looking for a midfield pass to play. Varane might have liked to get involved with some or all of this. He was pathetic.

I have no choice but to be pragmatic, what's done is done. But you are right, the impact of the poor transfer window will be long lasting even if we manage to offload some of them at a loss.

I was talking about improving overall rather than just last nights game, I thought Varane was ok on Saturday but your assessment on last night's performance is damning. Andy Sinton is forever mentioning the lack of movement all over the pitch so surely Marti will be aware. 'Boro did their homework on us and it showed. We don't seem to do homework on anyone. Saito, Varane, Morgan and Nardi have so far been positive signings. The rest which is another 8 or 9 have been either disappointing, bang average or downright disgraceful. I have to say I have never known a player make me so angry at a total lack of effort as Zan Celar. That's not a good enough hit rate on transfers. Nowhere near. And many have the added joy of being injury prone.

Varane was great on Saturday. I definitely think he will prove a good signing. Similarly, you can see Saito is a quality player. In the right team, he kills this division. Our problem at the moment, apart from the injuries, is there is no coherent style of play, or at least there is but it's not suited to this league (or perhaps anything bar the All-Priests Over 75s Five-a-Side Football Challenge Match). We're too slow to break effectively, too small and meek to get stuck in, and too ponderous and diffident around the opponent's box to threaten their goal very much. In summary, we don't look like a Championship side (or worryingly, even a League 1 or 2 side) but rather a team to play in a farmers' league on FIFA. Some of that is down to injuries, and they've been horrendous this season, but you can't sign 35-year-olds or JCS and be surprised by that. Oh to have a Clint Hill or Shaun Derry on the pitch tonight, never mind Adel. The one thing I'm clinging to is that there are some poor sides in this league apart from us (most of whom we've already failed to beat). Portsmouth still only have the Hayden Fox Trophy; Plymouth will struggle when their manager has to concentrate on the Dissolution of the Monasteries; Preston, Derby and Stoke are settling towards the foot of the table... But last night was shocking. We need to get some players back during the international break and get some wins on the board before January.
Nourry should walk. on 05:31 - Nov 6 with 1694 views | HammersmithR | The more I watch this side the more angry I get with Nourry. The squad he has picked from Football Manager with Andy Belk is beyond rubbish. The guy is barely out of nappies. What on earth did he do in his interview to convince the owners he was the man for the job? We are so lightweight. The players are not designed for the toughness of this league. The signings were so bad and now we are stuck with them for 4 or 5 years in some cases! That is shocking. Nourry needs to front up and do an interview and give the fans a breakdown of the recruitment of these players because it is has been utter gash and there are no signs of it improving.
Nourry should walk. on 05:52 - Nov 6 with 1652 views | GaryBannister86 | Couldn't agree more. Nourry is a complete imbecile and he will defend his position no doubt by sacking a manager he has completely let down. He's about to see what fan unrest will feel like. [Post edited 6 Nov 6:11]

Nourry should walk. on 06:21 - Nov 6 with 1605 views | paulparker | It takes a special kind of scouting talent to replace Dykes and Dozzell with even more crappier players like Celar & Madsen We have no left back cover but have 3 right backs at the club Our only striker options to replace Celar at the moment is Alfie Lloyd who let’s face it would struggle to get in AFC Wimbledons team We are fcuked this year only at QPR can we keep repeating the same mistakes It’s on the board yet again that’s two inexperienced DOF appointed with the same disastrous results
| And Bowles is onside, Swinburne has come rushing out of his goal , what can Bowles do here , onto the left foot no, on to the right foot
That’s there that’s two, and that’s Bowles

And as far as I am aware the only person who can do that is Ruben, who should admit the enormous error he made in making the appointment and start trying to do something to get us out of this mess.

Nourry should walk. on 23:54 - Nov 5 by rbee | So far Nourry has overseen one good transfer window and one bad. I would put the bad one down to his age and inexperience. Let's see what he can do in January, if he loans out Madsen and Santos and brings in some experience we may view him in a better light. |
This is a recurring theme at QPR. We're always one more transfer window, or change of manager, away from cracking it. We brought in a significant number of players into the club this summer and that really should be enough. I agree with you on his inexperience. For me it's why the club shouldn't have given him the responsibility that he's got.
Nourry should walk. on 06:41 - Nov 6 with 1551 views | corse | Im struggling with the idea that this whole team is masterminded just by Nourry and Belk. If Marti has nothing to do with these player signings then why did he sign a new contract if he was handed crap tools to work with. He must have seen that half of them are too crap and dont fit in championship. Was he just naive and thought ok i ve been handed crap so lets see what i can make out of it and if i can make it work? I doubt it. Very much. Surely he could have just walked away and found another job pretty soon with his cv. That good cv is going down the toilet at the moment. And what you see whats going on at the pitch is down to Marti. Injuries or not. Im not calling for Martis head no. But to point the finger just towards Nourry is odd when all three of them Marti, Belk, and Nourry have made some serious mistakes.
