Personally I don't see why abusing an individual is any worse than abusing a group or a large number of people.
Some people skirt around the edges, they flirt with abuse and often enough they are the first to moan.
PS, I don't know why they have to apologise when you consider the amount of bad language we hear on the tv every day. There used to be a watershed, some language wasn't even tolerated after 9pm but now it's almost a free for all, a tad hypocritical I'd say [Post edited 12 Oct 9:06]

It’s like trying to hide the absolutely obvious to young folk .
We have created a generation that apologises,for no other reason than to cover oneself . No apology at all.
It’s like being afraid to offend religious folk with profanities or anything possibly blasphemous . If people are offended ,then it’s their problem.
Maybe ,we should blank the screens at 6pm ,when the news is on showing children maimed and killed in wars . It is happening and kids know it is . It’s offensive to think they want to be protected against being offended .

The trust was created in the wake of Tony Petty and Mike Lewis we were raising money to oust a bad owner and save the club and that was achieved.
It wasn't a lack of trust in other Welsh people, it was pure hatred and loathing for what Petty and Lewis did to our club.
Anyway, bad language, snide comments, they are a part of life but the people in charge live in fear of complaints so they apologise for everything in case some poor soul gets offended. | | | |

Watching football on TV is a safe space for people to enjoy normally with no profanity. A family place. Broadcasters offer this service and blot out the swearing. Putting a microphone near the 4 th official was unwise and probably done by the Is Icelandic broadcaster who is not obliged to follow UK broadcasting rule.
Bad language ups ths ante in arguments and debates and does not help. It might add something in a poem or a team talk to ad gravity to something.

Swearing , out of order jokes and awful in my eyes banter , heard it all before and nothing can shock me anymore , been there done it got the Tee Shirt .
Hate people swearing when I hear it , I do have conversations with close mates and a few chats will involve naughty words , part of the story telling but a bit of a non event .
Now it seems swearing is a culture sadly for some youngsters as a get out clause to blow their top or look big , another problem with educational or social needs and upbringing.

Take me, I'm a regular at the dentists, far too regular this year because they made a mess of a treatment and it caused me loads of trouble, one of my teeth is still giving grief, I have had several infections and my tetth are starting to look awful..
What are my choices? If I leave the practice I'll have to go private because finding an NHS dentist these days is like finding a needle in a very large haystack. | | | |
