I have to overboard part of a flat roof to put a fall on it, and raise a roof light (dome) slightly to accommodate new height - about 10 x 12 ft. Have all the tilt firrings and sterling board ready to form it out, but will need my neighbour (who does all my roofing stuff) to felt it before the weather changes. He`s letting me know tomorrow whether he can top it early next week... |  | | |

Ha! Yeah!
There is a bit more to the story as to why I have to put a new slope on the roof - it does have one but it is now the wrong way due to another extension I did - but it would probably bore you as much as it would bore me telling you, spell!

Yep, it is at my house, Jane.
Spell: the original roof had a box valley gutter next to the house wall, which became a potential problem area when I did the second extension as they meet on a corner of the house - one on the side and one on the rear.

An old boy who worked for me for 20 years (and now is retired) is doing the clever stuff! He likes pottering at my house and building things and cutting things down. He is a Godsend, and can do anything with timber - he makes furniture and has even built a small timber boathouse and jetty at the pond... | | | |
