Vice Presidents 13:54 - Nov 22 with 11975 views | trebanos_jack | Not sure if this is widely known, but there are plans (announced recently by our American owners via their representative) to disband the Vice Presidents Club and it's 100 or so members and relocate them somewhere else in the stadium. They (members) have been given a choice as to whether they will accept a 65% price increase on their season ticket and commit to a 3 year "deal" or relinquish their seat so that those seats and the Lounge they currently occupy can be used by "Corporate Customers" and their guests. That may not mean much to most of the fanbase, but when you consider that people like Mel Nurse and Ivor Allchurch's wife for example, and people who have supported the Swans for the best part of 70 years through thick and thin (mostly thin) - are effectively being told they are no longer welcome - do people not agree that this is something that should be challenged. I read a post yesterday about recent developments within the Football Club, and how things aren't being investigated and reported in the local press, and the inference was that the press were being paid off to put a positive spin on things. If there was any doubt as to the intentions of our new owners, then this latest story confirms that. What puzzles me is where do they think the extra Corporate customer base is going to come from, to watch a product which is in decline.

Vice Presidents on 14:14 - Nov 22 with 6174 views | MoscowJack | TrebanosJack, I'm sure that the likes of Esme and Mel would happily be welcome in many of the other hospitality areas though and, to be honest, people like them should be given the freedom of the stadium. One thing that I did notice on another thread about this on Jim's site was that they pay just £800 per year for a season ticket, a four course meal every game, a programme and seats at the front rows, just in front of the Director's Box. Considering season tickets are £400 (roughly), that's £400 quid extra for some of the best hospitality in the house. Sounds like the best deal in the stadium to me. As with most things related to the Swans at the moment though, there's a right way and a wrong way to do things but we'll choose the wrong way.

Vice Presidents on 14:16 - Nov 22 with 6165 views | headcleaner | They'll have the run of the hospitality area next season if we go down. The corps will not be seen for dust as they leg it up the road to legoland for their fix of premier league football. As it goes I'm not even shocked it's being done and it's disgusting. What a clusterfunk of a football club we currently have. I wonder when the next good decision will be made?

Vice Presidents on 14:18 - Nov 22 with 6148 views | pencoedjack | Scandalous Anyway ... 65% increase to commit to a 3 year deal, we will probably be in div 2 by then & there will not be many corporate customers. & I cannot imagine anyone committing to anything long term with SCFC at the moment.

All the money the VIPs have made for this club over all the years I've been a fan is irrelevant to theses Johnny come lately. The VIPs are some of our most loyal fans, but they are just..mere fans to the owners. The whole set up stinks.

Agreed. It’s a shocking way to treat some of the most loyal and long serving supporters the club has. Looking at the numbers, £800 for a good seat at the ground and hospitality isn’t bad, for 19 Home games that works out at £42 per game, so I can see why the new owners would want to inc ease the prices. I suspect they will have great difficulty in moving corporate if the club goes down. [Post edited 22 Nov 2017 14:35]

Couldn't agree more. If it wasn't for some of those people there'd be no club. And can I suggest that someone gets them to look up the next time they drive into the stadium car park and see whose statue is outside the ground. Then go and explain to Esme Allchurch why her seat should be given to someone who fancies doing a bit of business with the Swans until such time as we aren't fashionable anymore.

THe VPs sit nowhere near the directors box THey occupy seats further along the West towards the South in the next block down to the Premier Club seating Mel Nurse I know sits in the Directors box , id it a VIP seating area that is being talked about and then confused with the Vice Presidents seats. They sit 2 rows in front of me and I am no where near the Directors box if I were closer I would have accosted the Board by now!

Yes, my understanding is that it is circa £800/pa for the seat, but they pay extra for meals, and most of them sit in seats in line with the 18yd box in the West Stand.
Vice Presidents on 17:20 - Nov 22 with 5742 views | scottishjack | That should be the final straw for most, absolutely ridiculous if this is true. With regards to Mel Nurse, surely he shouldn’t be paying for a season ticket? And if he is, then our old board should be beyond ashamed of themselves. If this is true then every one of the parasites should be run out of the club, old and new... This isn’t what Swansea City were about, we were different!

Thanks for the clarification. Still, people like Esme and Mel deserve their choice of any seat in the house!

Vice Presidents on 18:17 - Nov 22 with 5592 views | Wingstandwood | "You're just a bunch of w#nkers".....Was? The hate fuelled song aimed at the Cardiff yobs trying to scale the Double Decker fence to get into the North Bank. That song now applies to the Yanks, Jenkins, Morgan, Dineen, Van Zweden and others whom will forevermore destroy the loyalty of the very longterm support the club can least afford to do without. What a complete and utter bunch of lowlifes we have in charge, It'll come back to haunt the board i.e. mass desertion involving the very people that have been treated like absolute sh#t, that’ll disappear for all eternity from the clubs revenue streams. The club will end up begging for em to return. Not supporters anymore, mere customers, consumers of entertainment product, revenue units that might as well go and support Burger King or McDonalds instead.

The Vice Presidents sit well away from the Directors area in the West Stand roughly between half way line and the South side penalty area. They don't have a 4 course meal they have a basic buffet. They pay £840 a year. The majority of Vice Presidents are over 60 and do not have a discount as senior citizens.
