An old man using a telescope to spy on a little girl? Goodness me. Why the moon? Why not have him in an old people's home or the old man on the end of ones street and have a twist that way.

The message is that the elderly are so isolated in society that throughout the year they may as well live on the moon. Make a difference this year to those who will be spending the holiday alone.

Well said. I can draw other parallels from it like lost loved ones. I tend to shed a tear watching it. Colour me Planet Swans' Soppy Date.
