Much was said about the appointment off monk! I my self think it was the wrong decision. Nothing against him as he is a true swan, but my concerns were that he would struggle to bring players in. Gomis is a big name and good signing for sure but we have had to offer huge wages. Now it seems that we are unable to hold on to players with reports now saying in other posts here about ki going?. If the spanish go along with bony ki davis michu then whats the point on the signing off gomis. If all who is linked with leaving the club do go thats 5 first team players there about plus 2 squad players. Can we realy afford to lose so many? Is huw gambling to much in order not to folk out for a proven management team. Hope not and would like to see monk do well but its alarming at the amount off players looking to move on.

what a mental OP, we are only letting go of players who A) don't want to be here or B) Monk does not want here. We can replace players who haven't left yet, the World Cup only finished 2 days ago and many players we will be after have yet to return for pre season training. Transfer windor ends in 47 days so plenty of time to get the RIGHT players in
Absolutely idiotic op. It's this kind of knee jerk reaction that we can do without. I think there would have been interest in the likes of Bony, Davies, ki etc regardless of who we'd have appointed and also you are forgetting the fact that none of them have actually left yet.
I said to friends before the end of last season that Michu would not be at the club come September and it would probably be a loan abroad. All the evidence has pointed to the fact that he's not wanted at the club for a while now.

Getting the players in is out of his hands. He will discuss new players and he will inform or agree on what players he wants in............................it is down to the board to get the players in.
Do you think they will come to Swansea because who the manager is or what would be best for their bank balance!?
Well I misdirected an arrow there, but I pretty much agree with the OP.
From the outset it was clear that Monk intended to cull those seen as most loyal to Laudrup/disloyal to the new regime; Canas, and Poz.
Now the rest of the Spanish contingent appear to be following suit, including those the club undoubtedly wanted to retain such as Michu and Pablo.
Furthermore, we are clearly having trouble keeping hold of those without any skin in the Spanish wars, like Ben Davis and Bony who in my view has undoubtedly instructed his people to shop him around.
Of course panicking serves no purpose, but equally neither does burying your head in the sand; for now it seems pretty clear which way the wind is blowing.

Must be nice to find that one other person who shares your views. Visionaries, the pair of you.

That makes 3 posts on this thread and not a grain of substance to any of them.
That kind of babbling tells me you feel very secure in your position.
Because it was quite a fun thread until you came along, laughing at the OP. Although that was a little cruel, as he seems to lack the faculties needed for a debate. A little like you when it comes to the Trust or finances?

Michu davis bony herndandes all serious talks about leaving. Add to that ki and thats a big chunk of first team players. Now idiotic op or not, the spanish arw off because ml aint therw and monk cant for some reason cant get them to stay. As I said I like monk and players are spoilt feckers but with agents running the players then management should find the way to keep players happy.

Some of this was clearly created before Monk was manager and how the f^ck you can say he's struggling when you have no idea who we might it might not be in negotiations with is quite bizarre.

Nicely done.
In all seriousness, does anyone believe that Jenkins would appoint Monk as manager if he and the board didn't agree that there was a split in the squad and it was the Spanish clique that had to go?
