European cities worth visiting 14:42 - Mar 14 with 5431 views | Bluce_Ree | You lot seem well travelled. I need recommendations. I've been to; Paris - d*gshit, full of c*nts. Redeemed by the Eiffel Tower but only because it was in Superman II. Rome - awesome. Venice - awesome. Amsterdam - aweshome. I don't drink. I like seeing landmarks and interesting shit. What's good?

European cities worth visiting on 20:27 - Mar 14 with 1248 views | danehoop | Ljubljana. Lived there for three years when Slovenia had just got its independence. Got back for first time in 7 years last year and it is still a great little hidden gem. Thoroughly recommend it for chill out capital off the beaten track. Natives are friendly too.

European cities worth visiting on 20:38 - Mar 14 with 1232 views | OnlyHereForTheNiko | Berlin is great! The place has a nice vibe. Don't believe those who say that the Germans have no sense of humour. Barcelona was good too. City & seaside resort, all in one. Prague is very beautiful & there's lots to see. I'm on a weekend break, as I type! Little place called Brentford. Lots of traffic. Lots of aeroplanes. But the lock looks nice!
European cities worth visiting on 23:45 - Mar 14 with 1173 views | bob566 | Munich is outstanding. Copenhagen is lovely too. loved paris and Barcelona too. Perugia was nice too. Been to loads more but I think o f all the places Munich would draw me back most

European cities worth visiting on 00:50 - Mar 15 with 1150 views | WanderR | Another vote for Ljubljana - perfect pocket sized city for a weekend break and underrated. Also beginning with L and seriously underrated is Luxembourg. Gorgeous, plenty of history and easy to get to from London. Anywhere in Italy is pretty foolproof. Milan quickly runs out of steam after you visit the Duomo (make sure you take a walk on the roof) but combine with a few days by Lake Como (bite-the-back-of-your-hand beautiful) and it's another nice and easy weekend away. Yes we did Milan combined with Lake Comp. I would totally agree. Comp is beautiful. Milan expensive but great for 2-3 days. You must book to see the last supper though.

It's fcking not! It's wet, and grey and there is so much mist you can't 100 metres ahead of you. Plus it's full of bleeding scousers.

European cities worth visiting on 10:40 - Mar 15 with 1010 views | rongould | Most Italian cities are terrific. Two of my special favourites, for the food, buildings, galleries, museums and nearby countryside are Bologna and Turin. Both have the advantage of not being on the normal "tourist trail" so you don't have to fight through crowds to see anything

Florence - culture, inni? Biarritz - a big town, true, but sun, surf and great character Rome - as with London, a year wouldn't cover it all Galway - atmosphere, culture and craic Barcelona - couldn't get bored there London - truly a great city, gets taken for granted by its residents Paris - architecture and museums Cork - I'm biased but it's nearly as good as Galway Stockholm Belfast Krakow San Sebastian or any Basque city really. Not recommended:- Geneva - Insanely dear, and boring Vienna, Salzburg - too dear Munich, Berlin - boring Warsaw, Gdansk, Poznan, Lodz - boring

European cities worth visiting on 11:02 - Mar 15 with 992 views | LimehouseR | Berlin. It has an amazing wealth of history, obviously surrounding world war II but also has a lot of older history and post war sights to visit. The whole East and West of the city is still noticeable and the food there, if you go to the right places, is pretty decent. Maybe go on a matchday weekend too. I missed out on that when I went.

Bolognese lovely. The first university in the world was built there. I've been a couple of times through work so even better to go free!

Cork more exciting than Berlin or Munich - OFFICIAL Come on Irish lads, where do the great capitals of Europe rank against Mitchelstown? While I'm on, a vote for a soon-to-be-foreign capital, maybe. Edinburgh's a stunning place, easily a match for Dublin (but not Cork, obviously).

Haven't been to Edinburgh. Flew in and out once but that won't do. I wouldn't recommend Dublin. Most cities are tourist traps, but Dublin feels like one too. Don't know what it is about German cities - I just don't feel the love with them. A bit like Mitchelstown.

How dare you? It's got a statue, that nice square at the top of the town, a view of the Galtees and a mart. Now the motorway's built, the high street's no longer bumper-to-bumper with traffic, and as the slogan goes, Where else can you buy a trousers with a pint in your hand? Some of the visual charmlessness of German cities is courtesy of the RAF. Same with Warsaw and the Wehrmacht.
