Hughes Confirms Injured Trio Will Be Fit For Brighton Game Thursday, 13th Sep 2018 09:48 Mark Hughes has suggested that he will have a full squad to pick from when his team play Brighton And Hove Albion on Monday evening at St Mary's. The Saints boss has said that the trio of Jan Bednarek, Charlie Austin and Shane Long are all expected to be fit for the clash against Brighton on Monday night. “Touch wood no injuries from the internationals as far as we know Jan Bednarek is managing a minor ongoing foot problem, but that won’t rule him out. Charlie Austin with a hamstring complaint and Shane Long should also re-join the group.” Good news for Saints as a squad, but Hughes now has the problem of deciding just who should start against Brighton and just as importantly who should be on the bench. Those at Crystal Palace to watch the last game would put a good case forward for the starting line up in that game to once again be picked by Hughes, the only real doubt being whether to risk Shane Long.
