LFW Pub Guide - BBC Club Friday, 8th Aug 2008 10:32 by LFW A new, undiscovered, and possibly illegitimate entry into the LFW pub guide. Name of pub: BBC Club Location BBC Television Centre, fourth floor, the Doughnut. Size: Huge. Selection of beers? Nice selection of lagers and the ales are rotated regularly and of good quality. Price of drinks? Cheaper than most pubs. Depends on what you order. How full does it get on a matchday? Empty unless it's a weeknight. How fit are the bar staff? The ladies are ok. How long does it take to walk to the ground from there? Ten minutes. Sky Sports/ESPN? Yes, but it depends if they put it on. Suitable for away fans? Yes if they have a BBC pass or are signed in. Suitable for families and kids? No. What's the smoking situation? Huge terrace overlooking Loftus Road. Beer garden? As above. As far as pub toilets go, just how bad are these? Very clean and spacious. Does it serve food and is it any good? Yes, but I have never eaten as my lunch is always liquid. Trendy modern bar, traditional pub or somewhere in between? Modern bar. In one sentence why should people visit/steer clear of this pub? Easy to get served and cheap. Quiz machine too. Any other business? You need a BBC ID or someone to sign you in. I'm not a club member and have never been asked for ID. - Metallica Hoop Photo: Action Images Please report offensive, libellous or inappropriate posts by using the links provided.
