I agree the circus of this week affected the attendance but it wasn't the sole factor...as you say the dismal performance at Portsmouth contributed too...maybe i should have phrased my response a little different.
As Keith says its a balance...if he goes for a fee he goes this month..that leaves us in a precarious position at centre back we are thin enough there now hopefully we will see Low join which will bolster us and I'd prefer to have Cabango Darling and Low allowing rotation and good cover for injury or suspension. What if we sell Darling and don't get Low or any other half decent centre back? It will start tto turn more supporters off
Unfortunately I fear it may get worse as Williams needs results so will be looking to grind these out having admitted on Friday if he doesn't deliver he will not be here
Unfortunately that is the case. We also need to be patient as whilst I think these new owners maybe be more "ambitious " and we have Coleman who does seem to have an idea what we are about I don't think they have buckets of cash they just want to throw into a money pit which is a football club. Hopefully we are at the beginning of a reset.
Don't start me on Grimes there was one occasion he had the ball on the edge of their penalty area he was trying to get it on his left foot got into trouble them we ended up back in front of our goal area
We created several opportunities to score yesterday unlike QPR we didn't take them. There is a mix of issues.....a lack of a prolific goal scorer, at times pedestrian football. The QPR and Luton games were played at a higher pace...and we did have scoring opportunities in both
It will be a shame for us if he goes...or more likely when he goes. He has grown as a player. As the article says its all about the money and given the situation re wage structure here I fancy we are stymied. Again as the article says unlike Cabango Darling has no emotional ties to the club and has been at a few others previously. Players move clubs but what's annoying is how the club has allowed his contract to rum down and we will probably end up losing him for nothing. A critic of him in his early days here but gutted we will probably lose him
It's a little different calling someone a liar to rumours about transfers. A basic modicum of intelligence will dictate that. Shame really because apart from the personal attack it is a very well presented article
that's my point we used to recruit players to fit our "system" style of play....Kevin Reeves was great at this. Nowadays we appear to look for "Cheap" shining stars in teams rather than will they fit in and add something Franco has....Vig had been a good find but the rest seem to be a much of a muchness
