We were there one Saturday afternoon and we scored the winner 1-0 In the last minute, In my infinite wisdom celebrating the goal I jumped up and grabbed the mesh fencing behind the goal albeit too late realising that the fencing had anti-vandal paint applied to It. There were signs Installed on the fencing (DOH)
That black paint was a bastard to get off my hands and steering wheel, awful long journey home In the car.
Oh how we laughed.
I have a passion for old British grounds and clubs and their history, I sincerely hope Southend United get through this.
Nothing makes sense to me anymore, I understand clubs being mismanaged financially but whatever, It's all been said before doesn't make It any easier. |

I'm watching the Spain V Albania game, I'm struggling though with the commentary and the punditry, I've turned the sound off now, TBH I dont know or care who any of them are anymore.
Last night was the last straw for me when before the Scotland game some Woman Interviewer asked one of the Scottish players what It would be like to win and go through tonight?
Jesus bloody wept what on earth was the bloke meant to reply? what an Inane question.

Atrocious to watch, WTF, pedestrian on the ball. Fiffing and faffing around In our own half and then misplacing yet another pass.

Bardsley was fabulous for us having said that on any given Saturday you could turn up at the ground look at the team sheet, see Dave Clements name on there and think 'we'll be alright' so Dave Clement wins It for me.
In goal I'm torn between Ron Springett, Phil Parkes and David Seaman.
