I've actually woken up this morning feeling almost positive about the appointment. It seems he won't take any sh1t and may actually provide some solidity with the fans and a proper structure that will become hard to beat

As well as the slip up and the massive Bednarek slice that gave the goal to Nunez, Macarthy also made a couple of decent saves when at 2-0 and I'm sure on a couple of occasions actually came for and thumped the ball clear!
The worry was one particular tippy tappy moment in the 2nd half at the back when a couple of Lpool players smelt blood when he looked more like rabbit in headlights, but got away
with it!
But also how successful were his long kicks in actually getting to a red shirt, and from memory, didn't one or two actually go out for a throw in?? |

It was clearly, well almost clearly, outside the box so VAR don't get involved in those but def a foul. Apparently tv said so as well which must be a positive against the Scousers

But no Prem experience although did well in L1 and Championship with Cov.
Yes we've accepted going down but you never know, we may get new manager syndrome which could also give us the truth about relationship between RM and the players. That could give us the biggest miracle going!
But assuming we do go down and maybe, just maybe, we come back up that will be the need for that prem experience other than just playing there albeut at a high standard |
